- Rated 2 out of 5by USER-EXPERIENCEONLY, 3 years ago5-19-24: has deteriorated in last year or so. SLOW to load, Slow to delete ads you have defined. Sites are working around it making it not worth the time to delete the ads using it. Still have not found a better one, so can't complain too much
1-28-24; All good things eventually deteriorate and ublock origin is no exception. too slow to respond to browser callups, cannot deal with ads that repeat and keep changing, no easy way to report pages that don't work SLOWWWW. Downgraded to 2 stars
1-5-24 -really starting to get SLOWWW and a PITA. Difficulty marking items you want nuked. Wasn't able to get it to work with disk files, only online. You can tell some of the websites are desiging their pages such that ublock doesn't work or works inefficiently requiring more time to get rid of their garbage than is worth it. Popup slow to appear. Still a good extension but has gotten worse not better.
9-22: one of the VERY FEW addons that actually works and is not a PITA. Congratulations there ARE some good programmers out there.
10-3-21: near perfect with a few minor flaws: ran across tiny social widgets that cannot be nuked. Try to nuke them with either lightning or pen, works for one time only than come back again. webpages are getting smarter in how to stop u block. Also cannot find a link in the extension to send input to developers whereas before there was such a link to report instances where the program did not work.
One of the VERY FEW addons that is really good and works well. Easy to block objectionable images on webpages so as to deny them ad revenue, like with sites that mistreat users. Only criticism I have is that when using an encrypted connection like with a vpn or tor, the settings do not stay and you have to reset the blocks. I'm guessing its because the ips and other stuff changes with tor so cannot make the blocks permanent. Great extension over all. Look for other add-ons by this author they will be good. - Rated 2 out of 5by IsakW, 4 years agoI have issues with uBlock on Apple Silicon Firefox. It doesn't block anything, and usually when you open the uBlock menu nothing appears. Occasionally, an extension (possibly not uBlock) crashes Firefox.
- Rated 2 out of 5by icstars, 4 years agothanks for hibernating uMatrix in favor of uBO which is harder to use and offers less granularity
these 2 projects should never have been split - Rated 2 out of 5by stef, 4 years agoIve been using this extension for years. Now suddenly i am seeing add after add on Youtube. Why is that dear developers? Are you aware of the problem?

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13290143, 4 years agoI used to love it but since a week or two it doesn't block ads on Facebook anymore. Will try again in a month and change the review if it works again, because I really had no problems with it before.

Nach Abschaltung alles normal. - Rated 2 out of 5by Ed Hampton, 4 years agoSomething has changed between FF 80.0 and 80.0.1! Aug 30 and Sept 03, 2020. Either a change to the code for uBlock Origin, or a change Yahoo made, that doesn't like uBlock now.
On Aug 30, 2020 I could access my contacts normally in Yahoo mail. Now on Sept 03, My contact list is grayed out, until I turn off uBlock, then my contact list appears normally! I STRONGLY suspect yahoo made changes, since the uBlock update preceded this problem!
It may also have to be Off to allow display some web flyers! - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 16145882, 4 years ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by CplBDJ, 4 years agoNo longer works for intranet http servers even when on the whitelist! Research shows that this might now be a feature.
- Rated 2 out of 5by lyggo, 4 years agoWorked pretty well but I absolutely do not understand why you would remove the individual blocker for every website in the latest update. I had to manually downgrade the plugin. Auto-Update=off
- Rated 2 out of 5by odelphi, 4 years agoDon't like the new feature that takes away dynamic filtering to green list a site. Why should the developers care if we have "improper usage" (whatever that means) of dynamic filtering. The extension is on our computer, not yours. Also, what do you mean by "seeing way too many cases of improper usage of dynamic filtering . . ." How are you seeing anything? Are you spying on the usage of my own computer?
What I am seeing with this new feature is sites not coming up properly and I have to double-click "CTRL" anyway to get the site to work properly.
uBlock is a great extension, but it is slowly being ruined. Shouldn't be surprised - anything that is good and great eventually gets ruined. I understand the techie truism, "if you pay for technology, you are the customer, if you get it free, YOU are the product". Just thought uBlock was different. Ho-Hum, my bad. - Rated 2 out of 5by VIK, 4 years agoBlocks Twitch modules, half of the page is not displayed. Who knows where else this addon will screw up

- Rated 2 out of 5by MX, 4 years agoDebería de poder bloquear los anuncios de los buscadores, como bing o Google, pero por el resto de funciones, es el mejor adBlocker con diferencia.
