I've had troubles with previous software offerings, since the '90s. I hardly used youtube back then..., because there was no easy way to download the content, or the soundtrack to watch later.
With the Pandemic..., I still would rather find and download music and documentaries at the source..., as streaming is out of the question with the quality of signal here in the North.
Only after I was offered a choice of add-ons for Firefox..., from Mozilla, did I venture back onto youtube, and began finding the gems I'd been missing, and So-ooo Easy to use and choose..., I didn't even miss a beat when they cut the button..., as the add on was seamlessly prompting me to follow the detour until the next update fixes the bug..., the whole Team was working on that, til today!
They've released the fix and other tweaks, and yet I've never had a problem or complaint with the software in the first place.
That got me thinking about the whole 'Open Source' movement that I've been using since the '90s, but not really supporting it in any way, other than Sharing!
Just before I began to write this review..., I became a 'Super Supporter'..., for only $1 a month!
Even this old guy on a pension can afford that much. Well worth it!
No M$B$..., for services I've taken for granted, for a couple of decades!
I certainly hope this is the future direction of web access and open source software.
Fair prices for useful software or services..., shared by all..., no matter what your budget!
As little as that amount is..., I feel I am doing my small part to pay it all forward. Thanks Mozilla!
