Really easy to use and reliable, even though youtube hampers this extension.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Dave Name, a year agoSettle down, people. It's a constant game of cat-and-mouse with YT and developers who come up with YT downloaders. It's been that way for years, and I've certainly been through my share of YT changes of algorithms designed to snuff out said DL's. This DL ABSOLUTELY deserves 5 stars. It's NOT the fault of the developer that it has gone belly up in the last couple of days - it's the fault of YT (once again) who has changed their algorithm (once again). Hopefully this irritation will be thrashed out soon and we'll be back to DL heaven. In the meantime, just bookmark the vid in question and maybe return to it later.

posted a year agoI have fixed this and you will receive an update via auto addon update in firefox once it is reviewed there. If you are on Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge you need to manually update by visiting this download page.
It's disheartening that many satisfied users don't leave reviews while a few unsatisfied ones do, that too after using it for years but not working for few days :(- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13197728, a year agoI Have been using this app for years and am a donor. It works extremely well and is very easy to use. Unfortunately YouTube change their algorithms frequently. This is where the great support excels, the author fixes the issue and brings out an update to fix the problem in short order. Donations are what keep this service running and are worth every cent.

I can understand why YouTube hates it -- I haven't seen an ad in years -- but, realistically, I'd use YouTube a LOT less if I actually had to sit through those. Right now, I go to YouTube whenever I want to and I check it multiple times a day. Without this tool, I'd only use YouTube when I actually needed it, which would be once a week or so.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Me, a year agoExcellent, easy to use and the author tried to keep up with changes in youtube's coding and policies. Too many current negative reviews reflect a short term hiccup. Most of the time, it is easy to get the videos you need.

- Rated 5 out of 5by aviationlover, a year ago31-03-2024: doesn't work anymore since around last 3-4 weeks, can only download 360p video (no 720/1080p anymore) and when you choose to download 360p it downloads a video with black screen and text telling "this content is not available in app, please watch it in youtube".
edit 05-04-24: works again great, thank you for applying update. i was using it 2 years successfully and just last 3 weeks stopped working completely at all, thus i wrote this review to let u know it was not working.Developer response

The developer posts notifications about development status & any ongoing issues. Recommend for sure.

- Rated 5 out of 5by NeoRocket, a year agoWhile the 1080p does not show at this time, I am hopeful it will be fixed soon. I have donated $30 to downloader as over the years I have gotten lots of very quality use. I recommend this app to anyone.
