by Loewi, 7 years agoThe addon is a webextension version of the Leechblock addon and helps me not wasting time (apart from writing a review when I should be studying ;-)).
You can block a list of domains or load a list of domains from an url. You can configure the day(s) of the week and the hours and minutes (eg. 0700-1700).
You can block yourself from undoing these settings and even disable the addon page of Firefox (be careful, you could lock it forever) to hinder yourself from disabling the addon.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Neromabene, a day agoIt really helps with productivity. The available options are also very useful.
As a suggestion, setting Leechblock to block specific Google searches took a bit of time. Maybe some built-in tips regarding this would help future users who might encounter similar difficulties.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18394932, 2 days agoI use this to block Twitter because I refuse to give the apartheid-funded jackass who owns that site and has chosen to make his mid-life crisis everybody else's problem any more traffic. Thanks, Leechblock!
- Rated 5 out of 5by Dr. Hunter Thompson Lockwood, 3 days agothis is a must-have for me. it's been a lifesaver. i have recommended it to many people over the years and included it in lectures to students.
if you find yourself accidentally or automatically navigating to certain websites, but don't want to block them completely, check out the "delay" feature -- you'll be amazed at how a delay of 2-8 seconds can rewire your brain. - Rated 5 out of 5by elmolo, 4 days ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by jono, 17 days agoHighly customizable and does exactly what it says on the tin. Slight learning curve but provides deep flexibility that other blocking plugins don't have.

- Rated 5 out of 5by harshasrisri, a month agoBeen using it for a few years now. It is as good as it can get. I use it on desktop and mobile and it helps a lot to moderate my leeches. I consider it an essential add-on.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Abigail, a month agoLeechBlock has helped me to be so much more productive. From blocking YouTube to other sometimes time-wasting sites, I've found myself actually doing more instead of just planning to do more.
The interface is easy-to-use, and the GUI is simple but effective. If you're hesitating to try it out, really, please don't. It will help SO much.
Thank you, LeechBlock!
(As always, this is a completely honest review from a regular human being ;)
