by chuggerguy, 5 years agoSeems to do exactly what I want.
To me it didn't seem right that a seller can pay to get their product shown. Kind of like a politician buying their way into office.
Or that I would have to endure ads on a site that I already spend too much money on.
I was trying to hide using Adblock filters and even jQuery but at least one sponsored content box was giving me a headache.
So... thanks. :)

- Rated 4 out of 5by K.Richards, 3 years agoSorry but, I don't read German.
I know, it's a shame !
But could you please provide a translation ?
Amazon and their politics about sponsored ads is a shame.
Hope your addon will grow and prove effective for amazon.fr and amazon.it (I live in Geneva) ! - Rated 5 out of 5by Adibou, 3 years ago

Cool wäre noch eine Option, mit der man auch ähnliche Produkte und andere Vorschläge komplett ausblenden könnte. - Rated 1 out of 5by Odin2, 4 years ago

To the Developer: can you please consider making an add-on that shows what products on Amazon are made in and/or sold from China (or, alternatively, just show whatever country something is made in/sold by)? Would be very handy for limiting one's purchases from various parts of the world. Thanks!
EDIT: in answer to Developer's question: A few things do still get through on Amazon. Here's an example (the 3 at the top): https://www.amazon.com/photos/shared/u183IhdJTJO54ioZ6CG3PA.i5SGacM6s1WF7swa9k-4UR
But all in all, your plugin cuts down on the sponsored stuff considerably!
I don't mean to be pushy, but I wish you'd reconsider developing another plugin for filtering by country. You'd make a LOT of people happy. :)Developer response
posted 5 years agoThank you for your rating. You are writing "gets almost everything". Are some sponsored items still shown?
I am not planing to develope another add-on. This one "Amazon Unsponsored" was mainly developed for myself.
The idea of a country-filter is very nice. I would like to use it to filter (and remove) traders with long delivery-times. If I don't need something fast, why should I order at amazon.. :D - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13902312, 5 years agoWorks well, thank you!
Why does it need access to my data for ALL WEBSITES?
Why not just list out the Amazon country domains?Developer response
posted 5 years agoHello User Firefox-User 13902312,
thank you for your question. The add-ons scans the opened domainname for "amazon" und starts filtering, if it is found. The check is done locally on your computer, so no data is send anywhere.
For my own use filtering "amazon.de" would have been enough, but I found other people in a US-forum that had the same problem with spondored commercials.
So this was just the easiest way to implement this add-on for international use.
If you have a complete list of all amazon-Domains, please post it here, so I can try to implement it. Developer response
