- Rated 5 out of 5by Gokul Kathiresan, 4 years agoWas moving out of chrome for the good firefox offers and was terribly missing the 'google dictionary' extension. Thanks a 3000 for this add-on.

...for this addon.
Edit:
A couple of things.
When double clicking a word in the popup, search that word too.
For some reason, it fails on the word "rapidly". - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15962124, 4 years agoExcellent! The only criticism would be the "Searching... Please wait." screen. The lag is undesirable and could be worked on, but showing a "searching" screen makes it worse than it would look without such a note.

Just a question: a previous reviewer mentioned that it was necessary to define "dom.webcomponents.shadowdom.enabled" as true in about:config... I'd like to know more about this, since the plug-in works well even without that property being set.Developer response
posted 4 years agoIf you are using Firefox version 62 and below, then enabling dom.webcomponents.shadowdom.enabled in about:config was required, in version 63 and above Shadow DOM is enabled by default, so this is not required. - Rated 5 out of 5by James Loflin, 4 years ago
