We will be back on iOS soon. Amazon's accusations of us misleading customers are baseless.

Fakespot - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13358663, 3 years agoI used Fakespot constantly for Amazon for a long time, and have always appreciated that service. And I don't mind developers wanting a revenue stream, however the idea that they want permission to scan every URL I visit, basically tracking my internet activity? Ridiculously intrusive and a deal breaker for me. No way I download this extension.

Thanks for your feedback. We greatly value your privacy and encourage you to read our privacy policy.
We require these permissions because we analyze hundreds of thousands of Shopify web stores. Other popular shopping extensions such as Honey and Rakuten require the same permissions because they also have to work on many websites.
If you have any questions about our privacy policy and practices please email us at contact@fakespot.com.

Fakespot - Rated 1 out of 5by Kelue, 3 years agoThere is no reason why this addon needs to scan every single site I visit. It should be restricted to only domains I want it to check or domains it has an active database for. Gathering data on every site I visit for no reason with no way for me to disable it is predatory and why I wont trust this service ever again.
