- Rated 3 out of 5by Chtiland, a year agoGood idea, but as I can't toggle-off this extension in private browsing (bug id 1768434 2 years old) I remove it.
- Rated 3 out of 5by magivaman, a year agodoesnt translate devops, only the surrounding header, not the content which is the bit you want :)
- Rated 3 out of 5by Mark, 2 years agoIt works, but the UI is subpar and the list of languages is pretty weak. I'm not knocking Catalan, but it seems like an odd choice to prioritize over something like Chinese.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Miimée, 2 years agoIt would be useful to add the translator by right-clicking on the page, rather than taking up space at the top of the screen (or leave the choice to the user).
For the moment, it's really bothering me, but I'm going to wait a while to see future updates, because the tool itself works pretty well. - Rated 3 out of 5by RoboKyoger, 2 years agonot enough languages to be able to replace any of the translator apps
- Rated 3 out of 5by EveldenShen, 2 years agoThe function of translating English to Chinese is necessary for many Chinese users when we browse a English website, but this add-on dose not support. Please!

- Rated 3 out of 5by avtolik, 2 years agoGood start, but needs work on the UX. It very rarely offers me to translate a page. There are no settings where I can clearly set which languages to translate.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17840831, 2 years agoSome great potential here but I wish I had more control over settings such as "Always translate the following languages/sites" and since translation is done locally, I'd like to pick and choose installed languages. And why does the extension require access to private windows???
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 16704467, 2 years agoGood enough, but what it really lacks is an option to toggle which languages we don't need the translation for, some of us speak more than one language so it would be awesome if such an option could be added!

- Rated 3 out of 5by Glort, 2 years agoIt's a cool thing that Firefox added its own translator as add-on. I hope it improves a lot and can become a competitor with Google Translate and Yandex Translate in the future.
Anyway, I tested it a bit on and I must say that for now it still needs to improve translations in some websites.
E.g.
- I tested it on Bandcamp and translated from English to Italian. Below the profile of an artist, there was written "Records" and Firefox Translations translated it to "i record", which isn't correct because there was the name of a label before.
(But at least this error was highlighted with red because I enabled the "Highlight potential errors in red" function, which is very cool in my opinion).
- I tested it on the Firefox Translations repo on Github and translated again from English to Italian. The "About" word of the About section on the top right of the rectangle with files got translated with "A proposito di"... Only a single word like "Dettagli" (details) or "Descrizione" (description) would have been correct.
Still, in the About section, "a webextension" got translated to "una web estensione", while at the beginning of the README.md the result of the translation was "un WebExtension"; both aren't grammatically correct. "un'estensione web" would be correct in Italian.
These are just a few examples to give the idea of what the translation errors can be and I hope this add-on will get better and better.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17823488, 2 years agoDer Satzbau läst doch sehr zu wünschen übrig. Die Sprache sollte auch besser erkannt werden, alles in allem jetzt nichts umwerfendes. Ich bleibe bei DeepL, evtl. solltet ihr da mal anfragen.
