by Firefox user 13934898, 6 years agoTranslated by DeepL. Sorry about the possible nonsense:
It works fine, but why can't it be used with Firefox Sync active? FF Sync is essential for many people who use tab synchronization, password synchronization, history, sessions, plug-ins... I don't want to give up all that just to be able to synchronize my bookmarks, especially when I can also synchronize them with FF Sync, I just prefer to have them in my private cloud.
Please correct that important flaw, because it's a shame we can't have the best of both worlds.
Greetings

This reason is nothing that can easily be worked around, I'm afraid: Firefox sync changes bookmark IDs when it syncs bookmarks. Floccus needs those to be persistent, however, to detect the correct changes in the bookmarks tree. I know that this is not ideal. If you are willing to give up some features of Firefox Sync, however, there are other extensions that work quite well with self-hosted servers like nextcloud as well to sync e.g. passswords.
In any case: Thanks for you feedback!
