I like it, but there is insufficient contrast between the active tab with a black background, and the other tabs with a dark blue galaxy background. An outline highlight around the active tab, as used in the Teal Galaxy theme for example, would solve this.

Nice artwork that doesn't distract from website content and yet is interesting to look at. It gets the balance right between fun looking and functional.
