- Rated 1 out of 5by Dayton, 16 days agoRendered my browser unusable when I was on journalism websites, furthermore, should work on a whitelist without the need to get all my browsing data.
- Rated 1 out of 5by PxbVic, 2 months agoThis is a great concept I really like it, but it thrashed the CPU at 100% while running on any web site, I had to uninstall it for this reason... I was going to get a subscription, but the CPU thrashing is too much...
- Rated 1 out of 5by Mike Walsh, 4 months agoThis extension sends every url you visit back to ground news. This is far too broad. As far as I can tell, they don't state whether these requests are stored and for how long. They seem to have implemented some sort of a black list in the extension, but it really should work as a whitelist instead. Their list of sources can't be that large.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 5905964, 5 months agoJust no: "Access your data for all websites" What for? I pay for the service, but you need to put out a sensible addon.

- Rated 2 out of 5by RokeJulianLockhart, 10 months agoBy default, I am unable to log in to the extension despite being authenticated via the browser. You have to manually enable "Access your data for https://extension.ground.news" in about:addons.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Lightspill, 10 months agoThis extension may be well-intentioned, but it is a serious violation of trust and privacy. We verified that whenever we accessed a URL even on a personal server, a second request from an AWS instance would follow for the same resource. This is way, way, way inappropriate. And far worse than anything I would have expected given the stated purpose.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Juliana, a year agoI love the site, but this extension is SO BUGGY! I can't save citation, the top bar when I open a news site doesn't recognize I'm logged in already. Horrible.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17912944, a year agoAccess to the website requires download of an add-on to my browser. Warning label says they will have access to all my browsing data if I download and use it. NO WAY WILL I ALLOW THAT. I am looking for a way to cancel my subscription, but their web address comes back 401. Not a good sign.
- Rated 1 out of 5by lightz0, 2 years agoYeah I like ground news as an idea but the small percentage of users cursed to read Terms of Service agreements I also take issue with the over-reach here. Good idea, well designed layout, no you cant have all my data and expect me to pay for it.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16134204, 2 years agoLove the idea of Ground News. Hope they make it more clear the browser permissions they are asking for
- Rated 3 out of 5by kungfujoe, 3 years agoI love the idea, but this extension's permissions are serious overkill, calling its trustworthiness into questions. From Mozilla, "The extension can read the content of any web page you visit as well as data you enter into those web pages, such as usernames and passwords."
For what this extension does, the "Access Browser Tabs" permission should be entirely sufficient. There's no reason for it to "access your data for all websites." - Rated 5 out of 5by TimTheEnchanter, 3 years ago
