About this extension
Reddit has a really annoying behaviour on its web client that forces notifications to open in a new tab when they are clicked. There is absolutely no reason why this should be the case, but it has been for a while.
This tiny browser extension simply listens for the notification popout to be mounted to the DOM and then strips out the 'target' attribute from its child links that cause this behaviour.
Please note that this extension currently only works for the notification popout from the navbar, not the fullscreen notifications page. I currently have no plans to change this, as I personally do not use that view, but I may do in the future. If someone comes across this dumpster fire and actually wants to add that functionality, please contribute on GitHub.
