- Rated 5 out of 5by netWilk, 14 days agoWorks well, and makes reading Reddit a much more pleasant experience. I only wish it would also redirect old.reddit.com links to new.reddit.com.

- Rated 2 out of 5by TheWonderAlmighty, 18 days agoSome Reddit pages don't work with the redirect https://www.reddit.com/prefs/feeds/, and the addon doesn't allow exceptions. I'm using UI changer for Reddit since it works: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ui-changer-for-reddit/.
- Rated 1 out of 5by ba17, 20 days agoThis fundamentally didn't work at all & doesn't pair with RES. As soon as I went to reddit it forced all new pages to open to new reddit.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Rusty, 23 days agoOn r/popular new.reddit is broken (not this extension, I mean the site itself). Individual threads are still fine with the new.reddit site fork, though.
It would be great if you could blacklist r/popular only, so we can browse it, with the (albeit, horrid) redesign, but open up threads with new.reddit
Granted, apparently they have said they have been planning on shutting down new.reddit for at least a couple months, so who knows how long such a band-aid would last.
In any event, thanks for the extension, cheers!
ETA: @ba17, who said on 4/30/24 "it forced all new pages to open to new reddit" - That's exactly what it's supposed to do. - Rated 1 out of 5by fourohfour, 23 days agoStopped working as of today. Returns the exact same redirect error that others have mentioned here. Hopefully you can fix this and I can update my review.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Pierre-Adrien Buisson, a month agoTo build on the previous review: the addon works great, as long as you're already logged in. If you're not, Firefox shows a "The page isn’t redirecting properly" error. Other than that it works perfectly.
Also, I was wondering if it would be feasible to contribute back to the original addon, by adding a setting to it (like "to which version do you want to be redirected? old, or old-new?"). I found this issue that was asking for this on the original repo but closed with no comment, I'll try to comment on it: https://github.com/tom-james-watson/old-reddit-redirect/issues/109 - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18370875, a month agoInconvenient to use. Once you clear your browsing data, you have to manually disable the extension from the Firefox settings or else you're stuck with an error.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Ke0zom, 2 months agoFinally !
I found the extension that gets rid of this new hideous theme where I can no longer display more than 3 posts on the screen, the old new theme is the best compromise between the old and the new big ugly theme.
Thanks ! 😉 - Rated 5 out of 5by Jayayess1190, 2 months ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18340887, 2 months agoThank you, this add-on is a god send. I'm a fairly new reddit user and the new-new "candy crush" layout is IMHO horrible to look at and I despise it from the bottom of my heart.
I'm also not used to the old reddit layout, as I never used it before the change and I had trouble navigating it. Since the new-new reddit came live, I have been manually changing the URL from "www" to "new" every time I click on a regular reddit link. You can imagine how much time and enjoyment that took from my reddit experience.
Thank you again for creating this add-on. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18295807, 2 months ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Re'soul, 2 months agothere is a bug with the new reddit that brakes the overview and comment tab on your profile if you reply to a post that someone who has blocked you replied to, which is one of the dumbest things ever being that you have no way of knowing if someone who has blocked you has replied to something or will and is over all just really dumb and reddit needs to fix so this add on is pretty useful tho a switch or something to swap between the two versions would be nice
- Rated 5 out of 5by Marty, 2 months agoWow, thanks for this great extension. The creation of this extension was excellent work. The new 2024 user interface introduced by Reddit is a horror to me. Nice that I can use the pre-2024 user interface. This makes browsing Reddit a pleasure again, as the user interface is pleasant to my eyes
