- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 16277706, 4 years agoThis extension is great if you want to subscribe to newsletters and then forget them or you don't want to give your main email to a website.
- Rated 4 out of 5by brandonpa, 4 years agoAbsolutely love this idea! Works great. 2 things of which I know one should (hopefully) be an easy fix and the other, more a feature request.
1. Can we have a list of the aliases that were created easily accessed so we can fill out email forms easier? It seems that when I want to use an alias I have leave my form and to go into the "manage aliases" page and the copy from there. There should be easier method to access our aliases to fill out the form.
2. Any way to respond through the alias? I know if I expect to receive an email that may be interesting, I may want to respond back, but still not with my own email address.
Thank you regardless for this awesome extension and hopefully it will only get better with time! - Rated 4 out of 5by Slayereon, 4 years agoLove this idea, very useful for when you need to make a one-off account or when you're not sure a website is trustworthy. Will be so much more useful when we can make more/unlimited aliases.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Y_P, 4 years agoThe concept is good but I'm not receiving some confirmation emails when I use the relay to subscribe on a website.
Reply 1: Updated rating since everything seems fixed now :)
However, as some mentioned, it would be ideal for the widget to directly display the relay address and have the option to copy it.Developer response
posted 4 years agoIf you're using ProtonMail, ProtonMail delivery should be fixed now; thank you for reporting this! - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14124145, 4 years agoWorks fine.
One problem: it is very hard to copy emails from the manager if you have clipboardevents disabled, please auto select the email when pressing the copy button to CTRL+C it.
Also it would be better if there was no subdomain in the email. - Rated 4 out of 5by Uuuui, 4 years agoI like this extension, but it could be a bit better if you could choose which email address to forward emails to if you have any secondary addresses in your account.
Better yet, there could be the option to manually type the email address in, allowing you to choose whichever one you want. However, I understand if the developers don't want to add that feature because of the risk for abuse.
Also, if there is a way for Mozilla/Firefox Relay to tell me when a message that was supposed to be forwarded was blocked because it was too large, I'd like this extension/service even more.
I'm happy with how this extension is currently, but I still think it has some room for improvements. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15187783, 4 years agoWorks for me. However it populates multiple entries in "Devices and Apps" section of Mozilla account. Probably as many as devices it's activated on. Makes no sense, as this is same service used across.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Jarooo_t, 4 years agoGrate add-on.. the only thing is the length of aliases.. some websites asking for shorter ones (like email address can't be longer than 25 characters) - any chance you can customize this a bit?? Thanks!!
- Rated 4 out of 5by JJ, 4 years agoVery cool addon, have been looking for something like this for some time, but it REALLY needs some way of having unlimited aliases. Maybe a pro version, maybe unlimited aliases with a custom domain, but unlimited aliases are really important because then you could create an alias for every website.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13790203, 4 years agoI already love this add-on and will likely use it more. The icon that shows up in email fields is so easy. My main gripe is that it takes a few minutes for the email to arrive, causing a moment of panic about whether it worked. Only one time did I experience that the relay email caused a purchase order form to malfunction. I trust Mozilla not to read the content of my email, but I would appreciate more information about the terms and processes of Amazon Simple Email Service. The link to their privacy policy from Mozilla's isn't really helpful enough, because I don't know what part is relevant for the service provision. I treat companies that "do" things with email with suspicion so Firefox Relay could differentiate itself more by emphasizing and explaining that it is indeed private and doesn't suck up or aggregate my private data (if that is indeed the case).
- Rated 4 out of 5by Kalamun, 4 years agoI find this service useful and the plugin nice. However, I experienced an issue and I found no place where to report it.
The issue: the plugin create a wrapper around the email field (class fx-relay-email-input-wrapper) with z-index of 99999999999999.
The label of that field was supposed to be over the field (z-index 100), but is actually hidden by the field itself (that normally has a z-index of 10) and this breaks the layout.
Thank you to consider this scenario in your tests.Developer response
posted 4 years agoThanks for finding this. We have logged an issue for this problem and expect to deliver a solution in a future release. - Rated 4 out of 5by Tintn, 4 years agoPlease add the ability to enter existing relays into text boxes opposed to opening extension in order to copy an alias.
Otherwise no issues yet ! - Rated 4 out of 5by User, 4 years agoGood work. Would you add an option to copy email address in one click?

- Rated 4 out of 5by bloodbuzz, 4 years agoFirst issue encountered today. Tried to change my email with Craigslist but was unable to.
Craigslist required confirmation from old and new email addresses. Old email address received the confirmation request and this was confirmed.
However, Firefox relay forwarded (as it is supposed to) the new "relay" email. So when I tried to confirm it, it only showed the old email to Craigslist.
I wonder if this issue will occur with other site that I want to change my email to the "relay" email?
See below:
We have received a request to change the email address associated with your craigslist account.
If you did not request this change, please log in and change your password.
Old address:---------hotmail.com
New address:--------relay.firefox.com
You will need to confirm this change from both the old address and the new address.
You have 60 minutes to submit both confirmations.

- Rated 4 out of 5by PeteJH, 4 years agoGood concept, but only 5 aliases means it is not of any practical use just yet. To be fair, it is still in beta and does have an "Experimental" tag.
The icon added to email fields interferes with my password manager. The "Show Relay icon in email fields on websites" setting allows you to disable this feature. Unfortunately, it resets to enabled every time you restart the browser.Developer response
posted 4 years agoWe have a fix for the reset issue which we'll release in an upcoming deploy.

We're working on a product that expands upon the 5 email aliases. We wanted to assess interest in this type of service before we invested in a more complete offering. We have logged issues for instances where our icon interferes with other password managers and the issues with the setting not persisting across browser restarts. Thanks for being an early adopter of Relay and finding value in it. - Rated 4 out of 5by Kubaba, 4 years agoAmazing idea, it will be nice to choose which account to forward to. I have a email dedicated for spam for example :)

posted 4 years agoWe are logging sites where we are not working. Thanks for being an early adopter.- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 16208230, 4 years agoA great concept, but a few kinks to work out. I created an alias tonight (at 7:43pm MDT on Aug 9) and the date shows Aug 10, so perhaps relay.firefox.com is only showing UTC? Would be great if it were localized. Additionally, 5 free aliases is great for free, but a service like this really depends heavily on the ability to create unlimited aliases... I hope that that feature will be reasonably priced.
Developer response
posted 4 years agoWow - great catch. We'll look into this. Localization is definitely on our roadmap (would love to know what locales you are interested in). We are working on an offering with more aliases. - Rated 4 out of 5by dominik, 4 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Smii, 4 years agoNice Idea and it works very well! But I'd like to create more than five aliases. Hope this is possible in the future!

posted 4 years agoWe just deployed a new release which should fix this issue. If it does, can you let us know here? (And maybe update your review so other users will also know it's working?) - Rated 4 out of 5by obrys82, 4 years agoSender's name with unicode characters are broken in forwarded messages.

I try it on Wattpad. At first, it did not accept relay, but then it do. However, I can not recieve the confirmation mail from Wattpad.
And please make the relay address be shown right on the addon, it would be more convenience.
