- Rated 5 out of 5by vfox1, 5 years agoExperiencing the same issues as a lot of other folks, I joined the waitlist over a month ago, finally got an invite email to install today and start using it, yet when I follow that link it prompts me to sign in and then asks me to join the waitlist... the one that I was already on. Makes no sense, very frustrating. Worth mentioning I'm in the USA, since it's only available here right now for beta. What gives, Firefox? :(
Edit: I figured it out so I figured I would update my review. Make sure you are logging in with the email address they sent the invite to. Apparently I use different emails for Firefox overall, and what I signed up for Relay waitlist. Don't even remember having a Firefox account for that email but, there you go. Hence the confusion. I think maybe the email could just give you a friendly reminder to do this, to avoid user error like mine (and maybe a few other folks).Developer response
posted 5 years agoThanks for the feedback and for taking the time to work through this with us. We will definitely look at including your suggestion of a friendly reminder to use the email address the invite was sent to. - Rated 5 out of 5by Alexander Ploner, 5 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by User John Smith, 5 years agoThis extension achieves all that it says, and works perfectly; from detecting signup pages to syncing with the dashboard (as well as the ability to label accounts).
There is however a very small issue in terms of ease of use, that would be auto filling previously used alias' from the popup menu created by the extension. There is only an option to "Create a new alias", and adding a list of previously created alias' would be helpful. This is a minor issue, and not something that affects the performance of the service itself.
In addition, another feature for the future could be the possibility of listing all the websites the email is used on.
Keep up the great work! I'm always hyped when Mozilla releases a new service because it never disappoints.Developer response
posted 5 years agoThanks for the feedback. I believe https://github.com/mozilla/fx-private-relay/issues/263 matches your issue for filling in previously-created alias for a website? - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15631627, 5 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by groovecoder, 5 years agoI love using my custom domain to make up an alias anytime someone asks me for an alias "in real life"!
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12880839, 5 years agoI got the invitation but whenever I go on the relay site it tells me that I need to accept the invitation email - though I accidentally deleted it a while ago. Now I can't access the addon, nor add myself to the waiting list. :(
Edit 1: No way to respond to the dev response below, so adding it here.
Unfortunately I got the referral from a forum, and there's no way to recall where I received it from.Developer response
posted 5 years agoCan you check with the person who sent you the email to have it re-sent? - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16012802, 5 years agoI don't know if the alias is completely randomly generated, but one great feature would be a partially customizable one like customAlias.generatedAlias@domain. Then it would be possible to identify the leaking site when starting receiving spam.

posted 5 years agoPossibly, but some sites reject email addresses with the site name in the localpart. Still, we'll keep looking into use-cases.
