posted 6 years agoThanks for the feedback. If you can please provide a little more detail on what exactly do you mean that would be great. Do you have any issues with the responsiveness of the addon? What exactly seems to be slow in your case?- Rated 4 out of 5by retreta83, 6 years agoExtensible very convenient, but it would be even better if the pinned tabs were restored identically (pinned, with mute sound, etc.). I would have liked also the possibility to rename saved sessions by a name more explicit than the date and time of creation. Otherwise good job, hoping to see one day my suggestions to the works.

posted 6 years agoThanks for the feedback. So in reverse order:
1. You can actually rename sessions. Just double-click on them or right-click -> edit. (Only sessions saved as bookmarks not those auto-saved that can be removed after a certain time)
2. Support for pinned tabs will be added for sure. Should be available in the next release. Mute information... guess I might be able to add that as well.
Once all the suggestion are implemented if you're happy about them remember to update your feedback score.
Thank you again. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13842194, 6 years agoThe idea to save sessions with bookmarks is revolutionary and much needed! I would love to see this working on Firefox for Android. Please consider it! There is currently no way to save and transfer sessions on mobile, other than manually bookmarking and deleting every page.
The only other thing I could ask for is the ability to use this add-on, or an add-on like this, as a tab management tool, much like the chrome add-on "tabs outliner", which can unload currently opened tabs from ram while keeping those tabs attached in the same place to the same window. Please consider this as well, thanks!Developer response
posted 6 years agoThanks for the feedback. I can definitely see a pattern over the last few days. Yes I do plan to have a mobile version, It was not of high priority but I will try to make it as soon as possible. But please understand that there's simply no way to offer the same experience as on desktop so I will have to make a complete redesign for Mobile and that's why I was not able to provide it right away. Even this versions runs on Android (tested it) but to put it simply put... it's the user experience is just awful (not even okish). I mean... the whole UI opens in a webpage and it's extremely complex to do anything because it's to small... some things might not work as expected because of how mobile interaction works and so on...
What that mean... definitely I want a mobile version, but since I need to rethink the whole UX (similar to most mobile apps) it will take a while for it to happen. (Or maybe not that much but can't really make a promise at this moment)
Regarding the unload option... Yes, definitely a great idea and I might be able to implement it pretty fast (if the API does what I expect).
Feedback is really valuable for me so thanks again. Also, thanks for raising the rating to 4 from the initial 3 (that's what I've seen in the mail) and I hope that once some of the new features you're waiting for will be implemented you will remember about this feedback and maybe reconsider it for a 5 star :D - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13974557, 7 years ago1) restoring in new window doesnt work for me
2) it would be perfect if the addon remembered the tree structure of addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tree-style-tab/Developer response
posted 7 years agoHi. Thanks for the review. Regarding the issues:
1) [later edit] I have a fix and it will be available shortly for everyone (https://github.com/ReDEnergy/SessionSync/issues/35).
2) As of right now I don't plan to add a tree structure feature. I'm all for offering as many options as possible but such feature is quite complex to be integrated and creates a lot of issues with storing the information inside the bookmarks system. I'm not saying it can't be done, it's just not a priority for the moment. Since I don't use Tree Style tab I might not understand fully how useful it may be so I will have to try it out to figure if the feature can be added or not. I want the addon to be a good all around session/bookmark manager but at the same time I'm not directly trying to copy what others do, unless there's a clear benefit for users. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13937513, 7 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by ~Xt, 7 years agoWorks fine, but unfortunately restores pinned tabs as normal tabs.
Do you think you could fix this? It might be possible to have a button similar to the one for multiple windows (in case there are people who don't want to save their pinned tabs as suggested by one of the users in the comments).
Also regarding pinned tabs, if I restore my session in a new window, the pinned tabs are opened (as normal tabs) in reversed order. However, if I restore the session normally (not in a new window) the order of the previously pinned tabs remains the same.
Thanks for the great add-onDeveloper response
posted 7 years agoThank you for review. That exact feature was available prior to the WebExtensions version. As much as I wanted to do something about it was simply not possible because Firefox just killed the previous API that I was using to track pinned tabs. But, I think that I might be able to find a hack to do this again (I have several ideas that might work - just figured them right know) and I'll try to make it available into the next update.
Regarding the button. Yes, if the feature is implemented it will be there. The previous version actually had one there but I had to remove it because it was no longer working, but like I said ... I'll solve that with the next update.
Regarding the restore order. I will look into it and make sure they are restored as they should.
Hope that once these feature are implemented you will consider rating it 5 stars.
