- Rated 4 out of 5by naason, 4 years agoI appreciate this add on for securities research although increasing to 50/50 split would make this a five star (not sure the reason with limiting the size).
- Rated 4 out of 5by Allen Nguyen, 4 years agoI am excited to learn that FF has this plugin. It ease my browsing experience alot, make it so convenient. But the downside is the sideview width is so limited, or else i wouldn't have anything to complain with this addon
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14777895, 4 years agoA must-have for me, this is a godsend. Very useful for wide monitors. 4 stars though because I can't extend the width of the side window to more than a fixed width - which seems very arbitrary.
- Rated 4 out of 5by NotDeveloper, 4 years agoI see 2 serious problems:
1. If you want to use it for Instagram, but you already use Facebook Container, you will have to login again and again.
2. Now you can not just create a folder for mobile websites and use it in sidebar as before, now you have to use context menu every time you need it. 2-3 clicks instead of 1. - Rated 4 out of 5by ImNxtAMess, 5 years agoHonestly, works exactly as it was intended and very well at that. If it weren't for two issues, I would give this five stars. These issues are that when the add-on is first installed, it opens up a side bar with your bookmarks and other useful things. After looking around, very shortly, I found that you have to click the icon on the top right to open the multi-view. For a lot of people, this wouldn't be an issue, but for new or inexperienced computer users, this could be confusing and may result in them uninstalling because they think that it isn't working. The next issue being that when I'm trying to install another extension using the side view, the extension doesn't want to install. Other than these issues though, the add-on works very well as I am using it to type this review. Good job!

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15303210, 5 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15260456, 5 years agoGreat addon. Some missing option to perfection : some buttons (back, reload) and capability to display more than 25 % width.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Nirmal Advani, 5 years agoOne of the best feature. It should have made to the final release of firefox. It would be great if it had dark mode to be consistent with whole browser.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15092677, 5 years agoInstead of this being just a side bar, I want this to be able to use Mobile version of a website (it can do this now... but) + the ability for this to be a a split window. I know this is currently an extension, but the whole idea about using this as an experimental extension is to see if this feature makes sense to be in Firefox natively right? I would want this natively in Firefox if it can work as a:
1. Side view exntension's current capability. Don't remove mobile website invoking capability of the extension. Amazing for testing and other mobile oriented experiences when needed.
2. If it can also work as a split window natively instead of having to rely on an extension. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15065996, 5 years agoNeed to keep improving and having updates. Messenger Facebook is inaccessible!!!!
- Rated 4 out of 5by Suraj Verma, 5 years agoNo doubt that this is a great addon, and very useful.
There should be some option to go back on the page as main back button doesn't work with sidebars, that's why I removed one star. I understand this still is a pre -release version so may be they resolve such issues before final release. Thank you Firefox. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15000001, 5 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14775897, 5 years agoGreat tool but still need enhancement. Hope that a refresh, back and next page item will be added to the right-click context menu when click on side view.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14737757, 5 years agoIt is great to see this option available after Firefox got rid of their sidebar option when they released a previous update. No idea why they got rid of the old sidebar as it was better than this sideview. With sideview You have to remember to right click the bookmark and then press open in sidebar. With the older Firefox sidebar you just pressed the bookmark and it would open in the sidebar. Its just a small thing really but when you are used to that workflow it takes a while to get into this new way of working.
All sideview needs is a checkbox option to state that when this bookmark is pressed it will always open the bookmark in the sidebar. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14711107, 5 years agoCool feature that helps me do my job. I can keep my equipment monitoring screen up with my ticket que on one "page".
I would like to see the ability to have an auto refresh and have both views be equal width (50:50). - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14680304, 5 years agoI can't get BBC iPlayer to play in side view :-(
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12933667, 5 years agoIt is convenient to be able to open another browser at the same time in one window, but I want you to be able to enlarge the frame size further and return to the previous page. It will be okay if it improves even it. (I'm using a translation machine)

- Rated 4 out of 5by AL, 5 years agoThere's a lot to like about this and it's pretty cool, but a few things would make it significantly more useful.
(1) Right now the back/forward buttons on your mouse can't work "inside" the sidebar, so quick navigation without hunting for links is difficult. (2) There doesn't appear to be any way of clicking links in the sidebar and having them open in the main window, like Open Link in Current Tab or something. (3) It doesn't respect default page zoom settings, which means on a 4K monitor the text can be really tiny. It does allow you to zoom within the sidebar, but it won't remember it if you close it and open again. (4) Lastly, and this is a big one, you can't drag it out to make it any wider than the default, so at least on high resolution monitors, it's a just a thin little box on the side. Imagine if you could drag it out to the 50% mark and easily navigate within it -- you could essentially have dual pane tabs! Which would be amazing, and huge for all sorts of workflows.
Anyway, just to be clear, I do like this addon quite a bit, but with some small tweaking it could be so much more! - Rated 4 out of 5by Dimsy, 5 years agoI like it. However I do not know how to make it to keep its content same from the previous session. Say I have a page visited and added to Side View; then I closed browser. Next time Side View is empty. Why it does not restore the page automatically?
