- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14565419, 5 years agoToday, it decided to open its addons entry in a new tab without any interaction from me, costing me a bunch of work as I was typing on a form while looking at a piece of paper. It did it again on my laptop... again, without warning or input. That earns an immediate uninstall. Never *ever* interrupt the user like that.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13360870, 6 years agoI wish Google would make YouTube more user-friendly but it is designed in a way to keep you in front of the screen as long as possible. It has become a bit less annoying thanks to this add-on. However, if used in combination with other YouTube enhancing add-ons it can create problems. Playlists keep auto playing videos, although I turned that off everywhere.
Basically, I cannot get YouTube the way I want and have to compromise.. - Rated 5 out of 5by r2_d1000, 6 years ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by gioypi, 6 years agoAs mentioned before, it works perfectly in one tab, but if you open a link from this tab to a new one it doesn't.
- Rated 5 out of 5by eUROs, 6 years agoIt works as described. Thank you very much for developing such effective tools for YouTube.! :-)

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14186196, 6 years agoSame as previous reviewer. Only works in the current tab. If I open a vid in a new tab it doesn't work.
But still it's better than nothing. Autoplay just loves turning itself back on constantly. - Rated 4 out of 5by Xeys, 6 years agoWorks when clicking on a link directly but doesn't when opening a youtube video in a new tab. What's odd is it used to. I recently had to reinstall windows. Somethings changed, I don't know where... possibly at youtube because this addon used to work on videos opened in new tab. Note: None of the 'stop auto play addons' (if that's what they are?) work on videos opened in a new tab anymore so possibly youtubes changed something.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Mephistopheles, 6 years agoDidn't work for me. I set youtube to turn off auto play, but if I open a new youtube tab, it's right back on again

- Rated 5 out of 5by ravendave, 6 years agoDude...I finally switched from Firefox ESR version which kept all of my old reliable add-ons working (Flashstopper, Classic Theme Restorer etc.)..I STILL really miss the addon/search bars that CTR gave me & ability to use text for the icons among many things but the Youtube autoplay in this new version was killin me..This new Chromed up version of FF still annoys me but I tried Chrome and hated it even worse but ESR release was slowing down awful...tried a bunch of about:config hacks and some other addons here but only yours works for killin YT Autoplay..I am adding some money to my Paypal account to buy you a beer brother...god bless the developers

- Rated 5 out of 5by Doge, 6 years agoThis add-on is broken with the new layout but works fine with the old layout.
So the workaround is to add another add-on, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/youtube-design-preserver/ with which we can change the default youtube layout & now everything works fine. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12994188, 6 years agoThis add-on does exactly what it says it does, nothing more, nothing less. Youtube would always turn the autoplay next video feature back on whenever I would go to another video, which was quite annoying. I never want the autoplay slider on, and, with this add-on, I don't have to worry about it any more. Also, playlists still automatically play the video, in case you were wondering.
My thanks to the developer! This add-on definitely improves my Youtube experience.
