Also breaks youtube hotkeys in fulscreen mode - Rated 5 out of 5by Сырное, 3 months ago

Gif maker function could be better; restricts you to low frame rate and resolution. It's also kind of awkward to use, would be better if you could select the start and end frames before recording, instead of having to reclick the gif button at the right time.
Still a worthwhile extension to have, you can just disable the gif button in preferences menu. - Rated 5 out of 5by Frankie, 2 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by softyoda, 2 years agoNice but I removed it until I found good addon to download 1080p video from screen record (or webmp capture or whatever) between two point of full video.

No bs, just works
A lot of options which are easily configurable.
I am just missing an option to change the save path.Developer response
posted 2 years agoThe Download API doesn't allow downloading files outside the download folder due to security.
For custom path use "Download File with Prompt" - Rated 5 out of 5by Hachisa, 2 years ago

I want to copy screenshot to clipboard by only left click.
Like "Screen Youtube" addon on chrome. - Rated 5 out of 5by Towarish, 3 years agoA really convenient add-on, everything works as you would expect.
My only gripe is that it only works on Youtube itself and not on embedded youtube videos that you can play on other websites. - Rated 5 out of 5by Myuu, 3 years agoWorks exactly as advertised, highly useful and screenshots videos at their actual resolution unlike most other extensions, very customizable as well
Only thing I could call problem is that screenshots before first hour only have minutes and seconds in timestamp which messes with file order once video goes over an hour but it's really minorDeveloper response

Added option to adjust folder name and file name
In the file name textbox, fill this text.
[{WIDTH}x{HEIGHT}] vtime=[{TIME3}], take=[{TAKE_TIME}]
or
[{WIDTH}x{HEIGHT}] vtime=[{TIME3}] - Rated 5 out of 5by Zaphod Beeblebrox, 3 years agoEdit: Thanks for adding the save as .jpg option so quickly, excellent work!
Works great, though only seems to save in .png. An option to save in .jpg would be useful. Also, I'd like to be able to select a custom folder to save the screenshots.Developer response

- You can change image type from png to jpeg in the add-on preferences ( API only supports JPEG and PNG formats )
- For custom folder use "Download File with Prompt : Alt/Option + Left Click on Button"
( Unable to download file to outside download folder without Prompt ) - Rated 5 out of 5by peno, 3 years agoSadly, this extension doesn't work anymore. It was disabled either by Firefox or Youtube, but the menu siply doesn't appear. Sadly, uninstalled.
Edit: Sorry, my mistake, because I am totally blind *feels embarrassed* Works as intended.Developer response
posted 3 years agoI tried it. it works with no problem.
try refreshing the page if the button doesn't appear - Rated 5 out of 5by ChainSwordCS, 4 years agoGreat tool!
I use this mainly in the world of media research, documentation, and archival, and being able to take a screenshot at perfect resolution is a great feature! Namely, the current resolution of the video (1080p or 720p etc. with no compromises).
Comparable to downloading the YouTube video, opening it in VLC, and taking a screenshot there. It's way faster and way more convenient.
Edit from four months later: somehow it's even better. Regular updates are good, but what I pay attention to is archival quality.
Today I specifically compared a 1080p screenshot from this add-on to screenshots from VLC of the video as downloaded in WEBM and MP4 file format.
The screenshot as obtained from this add-on matched the WEBM screenshot pixel-for-pixel(!!!), and the MP4 screenshot did not match.
Firstly I actually didn't know that YouTube's MP4 files underwent more compression than their WEBM files (of course a file format is just a file format; an MP4 can be lossless or compressed to hell, but YouTube compresses videos in a consistent manner).
And secondly I am impressed! Thank you for the high quality add-on, this is going to be a part of my toolkit for a long time to come. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14738129, 4 years agoWorks a lot better than any other YouTube screenshot addon I've tried! Truly a masterpiece!
PS. You should probably edit the description "Shutter sound can disable in add-on Preferences" should say "Shutter sound can be disabled in the add-on Preferences" - Rated 5 out of 5by Edgar R., 4 years agoApp is perfect right now!
You can save screenshots without folders or you can choose if they must be downloaded in a general "YouTub" folder or even with sub-folders to have a better control of them.
Thanks for listening and improving this awesome app! - Rated 5 out of 5by monowavy, 4 years ago
