- Rated 5 out of 5by Looank, 2 years agoGreat addon that I've been using very often ever since they removed this feature.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Karpan Koroviziniek, 2 years agoFunny how the little things can easily become the most annoying as Mozilla go on with their slow but steady mission to ruin their own browser by removing useful stuff such as the regular "view image" which Firefox had and worked fine for 20 years. Add-ons such as this one to the rescue (of Mozilla...)!

- Rated 4 out of 5by Max John, 3 years agoThis restores the extension that Firefox removed only that it should be open source for security reasons

- Rated 5 out of 5by sdagfk, 3 years agoWhy the heck would you add a screenshot.png in your addon xpi that is 650 kB in size, making this addon over 20x the size it actually should be.
Developer response
posted 3 years agoThanks for the feedback, now it is not 650 kB. It was not that big on purpose. - Rated 2 out of 5by Vadim, 3 years ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by Terax, 3 years agoAn extension that runs on all tabs should be open source.
One thing I'm missing from old firefox, can you add config to allow us to change the menu entry to "View Image (filename)" for example: "View Image (background.png)"?Developer response
posted 3 years agoIt was already open-source by design but i created a github repository. I am going to check if it is possible to change context menu per image context, if it is possible of course we could develope this feature. - Rated 5 out of 5by wmb, 3 years agoExcellent, I don't know what prompted the change, but I quite like the old behaviour, which this add-on restores.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Joncrew, 4 years agoDoes a good job of replacing what is now missing.
I do have one suggestion. It would be beneficial to me at least if you were able to switch the shortcuts around. I mostly use this to open images I'm not ready to be the focus tab, and while i can do that, I would rather make it just a middle click, or just shift etc. instead of ctrl + shift.Developer response
posted 4 years agoThanks for the tip; if my daily workload lets to do it, i will develop that feature. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12146145, 4 years agoThis restores my work flow since Mozilla decided they wanted to be MacOS. A review above mine complains that the item is listed toward the bottom of the context menu and not up top with other view-related tasks. That bothered me for about an hour and now, it's just there and I'm used to it.
If opening images int he same tab is important to you, as it is to me, this solves a problem that Mozilla created. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 15173170, 4 years agoIt adds the context menu item back, but adds it at the bottom of the context menu, not up in the same group as the other image-related context menu items (such as copy image and save image as). I almost didn't even see the button as a result, and as a result I almost gave a 1-star review for it failing to even add the context menu item back. Then I looked at the screenshot here that shows that the menu item was added, but just on the bottom, and I verified that to be the case. But yeah, not having it up with the other image related context menu items is a HUGE mistake on the part of the designer of this extension. It absolutely SHOULD be up with the other image-related context menu items. This could easily be a 5-star extension, but I had to take away 2 stars for the massively terrible technique it uses by adding this context menu item at the bottom of the context menu, instead of inserting it in the group of other image-related context menu items. Until this problem is fixed, I'm giving this extension only 3 stars.

posted 4 years agoHey there thanks for using this add-on. I am sorry but this is related with the add-on api, Firefox does not let developers to decide the order of the context menu items. - Rated 5 out of 5by Tarring Turnstile, 4 years ago
