posted 9 days agoTotally fair. Also you can't resize the window on windows! Oof. I normally use this extension on Linux where it works for my purposes.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/pwas-for-firefox/ might work for you, but requires an external program to manage separate user profiles and/or firefox installations.
I think the best hope is for official support, which looks like it might be coming soon... see https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/discussions/how-can-firefox-create-the-best-support-for-web-apps-on-the/m-p/85327/highlight/true#M32616 - Rated 4 out of 5by Yoyo, 4 months agoI love this app. I hope it was a bit more user friendly. It's hidden under extension icon tab. I wish the window that pop up was not so large and I could specify the window size. I also wish I could create a desktop icon for the website I use always. Right now I have to click on extension icon, then go to the tab of the website app I want to launch, then click on the Web App Maker. So 3 clicks to get to the app. I wish I had a desktop icon for particular app or have a bookmark in a tool bar for the site I always use and it just pops up, that would be great.

posted 3 months agoIf you copy the link ("copy web app link
") you can make a desktop shortcut for the page to open. That's how I primarily use it. The other shortcomings are annoying but I don't think anything can be done about it. It would be nice if Firefox supported this stuff natively.
