by Tomo K, 3 years agoThis add-on could stop MIDI API error message when I open a website using it. However, actually it does not work the same as Chrome recognize my midi keyboard without problem. I am using Waterfox which is practically 56 I guess.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14383252, 6 years agoI have Firefox 63.0 and i've tried it with multiple MIDI websites but it doesn't work :(
I've also installed, as you said, your other Addon: Jazz-MIDI extension and Jazz-Plugin both installed but still nothing works.
If you can update it it would be really appreciated!
Anyway for who are looking for a solution in meantime i'm (forced) using Chrome just when playing with the piano...
Thank you anyway for creating the Addon!Developer response
posted 6 years agoThank you for the feedback! Could you please be more specific?
First of all, what operating system you are talking about?
Second, does the extension work with the test page at https://jazz-soft.net/download/web-midi/web-midi-test.html ? (works for me)
Third, what are the websites you are having problems with?
Thank you! - Rated 5 out of 5by Jeff Griffiths, 6 years ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 14064883, 6 years agoIn beforehand, I very much appreciate your efforts to bring MIDI to Firefox. But there is a problem, the addon when activated results in a major bug in the CKEditor in the newsletter software phplist. No such bug when deactivated. There must be some faulty code present either in your Addon or the CKE. However, the CKE is an open-source very common editor not even limited to this particular software and very much in use all over the web and your addon is only in an early stage. so I recommend that you do not wait for answer from CKE but take the first step to check your code. If there will be a new version I can offer to test it in my environment if it still causes the mentioned problems. I documented everything in the phplist forum, see

posted 6 years agoI have just published a new release.
Though, it may still conflict with the CKEditor plugin at phplist, it adds comments around the injected code to make clear where it comes from.
I'll try to learn more about the CKEditor plugin and/or get in touch with its development team to find the best solution.
And thanks a lot for reporting an interesting issue!
update from May 31, 2018
I have tested the extension with CKEdit 4 and CKEdit 5 in standard configurations. Works perfectly with both.
The problem must be with that specific CKEdit plugin at phplist. - Rated 4 out of 5by KristoffB, 7 years agoUPD: I am not allowed to post links here, all I can say is that the URL starts with "multiplayerpiano" and ends with ".com" ;) Thank you in advance!

Thank you! Finally I can use my midi keyboard on PianoRhythm, however it doesn't seem to work on multiplayerpiano, so this addon might need some improvement
(just tested it with your 'select midi' example, it works as well. Good job!)Developer response
