- Rated 5 out of 5by Futile Resistor, 7 years agoI installed this on another computer a few days ago and here I am back for more! Man, not using this is shooting yourself in the foot. The only thing I regret is that I didn't even search for this than earlier this week for some reason?
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 11391270, 8 years agoThis addon worked as advertised. It was the perfect companion for everyone who watched YouTube regularly.
YouTube had a lot of annoyances, but with YouTube+, all of this could be fixed.
R.I.P. YouTube+ and many thanks to the author for providing such a great addon with regular updates and bugfixes. It's only a matter of time when Google will ditch the old layout completely.
I wish there was an alternative for the new YouTube layout, but there is none. This addon is truly unique and no other addon has such a great set of features than this one.Developer response
posted 7 years agoHello Mario, I have decided begun working on a version compatbile with the upcoming YouTube layout. Once the alpha is ready it will be announced in the Github Repo, if you wish to try it out. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12999316, 8 years agoIt was going to take a lot to finally drag me away from Youtube Center, but this extension is very close to exactly what I wanted. Having the ability to hide the header (searchbar etc) automatically while videos are playing would make this the perfect extension. Having that and setting max page width to 100% is the best youtube viewing experience possible
- Rated 5 out of 5by sensei, 8 years agoThis is THE add-on you actually want when you use YouTube on a daily basis.
Many useful features and awesome functions. Works also great with "YouTube Center" Script.
One little feature that I would love being implemented is to have that tiny little video in the corner when actually browsing through youtube not only when reading comments.
Still 5/5 - Rated 5 out of 5by U64, 8 years agoAnything that gives me control over what I want to see is practically an automatic perfect ten on my book. There are a lot of features that should honestly be baked in the website. Blacklisting channels, for example. Being able to see results in a grid instead of a dumb list. Being able to invert the order of a playlist (thus ensuring sanity instead of dealing with watching the episodes of your favorite webseries backwards because whoever created the playlist is an idiot). The floating player is genius. Toggling autoplay and preloading. HIDING THE COMMENT SECTION.
May you live a long, prosperous life.
It also works perfectly nice on Android (well, on the desktop version of the site, which is the One True Layout anyway if you have a large device such as a tablet).
But needs, like, 100% more dark theme. - Rated 5 out of 5by Fabricio, 8 years agoEstou usando a pouco tempo porem ja achei bem agradável... cumpre o que promete
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12683033, 8 years agoI've been using this add-on as a user script for years. Once it was removed from GreasyFork, I found it here. The main draw of this for me has to be the ability to block ads on videos from channels I'm not subscribed to. While I'm disappointed to see it stop development, I'm still planning to use it for as long as I possibly can. Someone please continue its development!
- Rated 5 out of 5by sinekonata, 8 years agoIt seems this is based on the Youtube Center UserScript which is awesome cause that script is incredible and this add-on has definitely improved upon it.
Compared to YTC it lacks some awesome customizing functionality but nothing major.
At any rate, it's stupendous (lol) so thanks a lot :D - Rated 5 out of 5by MrMystery, 8 years agoHey this does what I want. I want to blacklist garbage video links.
Shouts out to all the NoFap community! You can use this to block YouTube users that post stuff you don't want popping up on YouTube when you use it.
If i get more money I'll probably donate to this developer - Rated 5 out of 5by Brunno Macyell, 8 years agoPode ficar muito melhor ainda, mas está excelente dessa forma.
- Rated 5 out of 5by hamelkarl, 8 years agoThis is the most complete Youtube add ons that works well on Firefox. It includes a lot of stuffs to customize your experience in the way you want it. Really liked that it can reverse the playlist, being able to navigate youtube with a nice grid system and that the it minimize the player in the right corner when scrolling down in the comments sections.
It includes many other things, but those are the main one on why I use this add on instead of others mostly. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12154843, 8 years agoA great replacement for the old abandoned Youtube Center addon!
It allows to tweak YT and make it more usable.
Works correctly on FF49 x64.
The features I like the most are:
- Remove autoplay up next (so annoying)
- Default video quality
- Grid layout
- Change volume with mouse wheel (even if it's a bit buggy)
- Enable Pop-out mode (but I'd like an exception for the popup blocker)
It misses these good ones from YC, however:
- default player volume (expecially for YT players on external pages)
- show likes\dislikes info on thumbnail (e.g: useful to identify the best videos in a playlist)
- thumbnail preview animation (even if it stopped working a while ago)
Recommended! - Rated 5 out of 5by kiteacat, 8 years agoJust WOW. Definitely the best ext for youtube i've ever used.
- Rated 5 out of 5by r.koegel, 8 years agoI was using a non-WebExtension app previously, to just control auto-play on load. This is way better!
I'm loving a lot of the features (especially fit to window in Theater Mode, and Mode Memory). - Rated 5 out of 5by TrueBlue1981, 8 years agoBack when it was working, this addon for YouTube is the best there is.
But since updating to the newest version of the Firefox, I see this:
Not available for Firefox 47.0
So it needs an update urgently so we can continue to use it.Developer response
posted 8 years agoHello TrueBlue1981. The most recent Firefox version is 48.0.2, the minimum Firefox version for YT+ 1.4.1 and above is FF 48 due to the migration of the addon into webextension version. Please update your browser to the latest version in order to use the most recent YT+ version. You can see the required Firefox version ("Works with Firefox 48.0 and later") in the version information section at the end of the addon page, or in the version history page : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/youtube-plus/versions/
