by Firefox user 17596985, 2 years agoUnfortunately not reliable. Often times it requires a refresh of the page for it to even work. The hotkey works 50/50 and it honestly fails more than it works on both chrome and firefox

- Rated 1 out of 5by Dakorixya, 2 hours agoNew version locks existing features behind a paywall, go to version history and downgrade to 4.2 to bypass.
- Rated 5 out of 5by afriendlypossum, 12 hours agoWorks much smoother since "premium" update; happy to support for the additional features. If possible I would love if we could see the video title when the mouse cursor enters the player area. Cheers!
- Rated 1 out of 5by J K, 3 days agoPreviously loved this... now the dev has come on "hard times" and updated to make it a subscription product with no prior warning. I understand devs deserve money, but making this a subscription is a joke. Anyone who still wants to use it, go to version history on the plugin page and install version 4.2 to keep it for free.

- Rated 1 out of 5by silly, 3 days agoPreviously excellent. Thankfully you can install v4.2 from the version history page and disable automatic updates. I hope the dev's situation improves, but adding bloat and permission creep to paywall previously free features wasn't the move.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18165527, 5 days agoThis is now a paid extension. I didn't sign up for this. If this was $5 to buy forever, I might be in. A subscription?! You can personally contact me and I'll let you know where exactly you can file this idea.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Syntax, 5 days agoBeen using this for years. I got an ultra-wide monitor and was disappointed by YouTube being mostly back bars in full screen. Then I found this extension and it has been a huge upgrade to YouTube. Even when it moved to freemium I still absolutely loved it. Best $5 I've ever spent on a tweak for my PC.

- Rated 4 out of 5by hizakix92, 7 months agoNo longer works, I am now getting black boxes on top and below of the video player while using theater mode.
To confirm I did reset my PC, as well as restart firefox to confirm nothing was missing. - Rated 5 out of 5by hiyashi_ame, 7 months agoDue to the recent Youtube layout changes, I was having trouble with the chat replays being displayed on the right side of the video and reducing the video screen size when playing LIVE streaming archived videos in theater mode, and then I found this add-on!
This add-on is very useful because it allows me to maximize the screen size of the video window without having to turn off the chat replay.
(Because turning off the chat replay function disables the “YouTube LiveChat Flusher” add-on, which I want to use at the same time.)
Unfortunately, with the version 4.0 update, the chat replay is now displayed to the right of the video and the video is not window maximized.
I would love to see this add-on become even better if the display method could be reverted back to the way it was before or if it could be made an option to choose how it is displayed.
I have now downgraded to version 3.9 and am using it. - Rated 5 out of 5by Vitaly Zdanevich, 8 months ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by greaterapprater, a year agoThis does what it says perfectly but if you are trying to get a boarderless window to watch youtube videos it is now natively supported by firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/turn-picture-picture-mode so I would just that instead of this. This does what it says it does though and is very similar.
