Sidenote: after you enter the Auto 2FA device, DO NOT rename it. Otherwise the extension will not log you in after a few hours.
EDIT: I tried to replicate the issue per the developer's advice, and renaming the device caused the initial login attempt to not be recognized. What I did was go back to the list of Duo verification options, and go back to the renamed device to work as intended.Developer response

I tried renaming the device created by Auto 2FA, but I didn't see it remove itself from my list of Duo devices. I'm curious how that happened to you. If you'd like, feel free to submit an issue to the repo with screenshots or more clarifying information so we can try to debug it.
EDIT: By "the initial login attempt to not be recognized," do you mean Auto 2FA doesn't recognize the first attempt after you add it? If so, that's because you didn't send the push request to the new device - you probably sent it to another device you already created. You need to manually select it by going to Other options -> Send to Android (or whatever you renamed it to) for Auto 2FA to function. This is intended behavior. If I'm misunderstanding something, please open an issue in the repo - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18512180, 4 months ago
