posted 6 months agoIt was required to fix Url backgrounds. It seems I need to register every single website to be able import image. Might as well add the "all_urls" permission. Chrome doesn't ask for it because it uses Manifest 3. You could say Firefox is stubborn with Manifest 2.
I noted it in the update notes.

- Rated 5 out of 5by AshiAshi, 6 months agoGreat extension so far, but since a day or 2, I keep getting the following notification once every 2 hours or so (it is my browser that notifies me, not the extension itself):
"CAI Tools has a new update
A new permission is required:
1-Access your data for all web sites"
However, if I view the extension, it doesn't say I need to update it or something similar. Neither does it say so anywhere here, so if there is an actual update available, there is no way to start the update.
EDIT
Thanks for the quick response, developer!
Unfortunately, I can't update it via the add-ons tab. The option is literally not there. I should have specified that I'm on my phone (Android 11), using the extension in Firefox (phone, latest version). That probably explains a thing or two.
I'll remove it and install it again, thanks for the suggestion.Developer response
posted 6 months agoYou can update it by selecting Automatic Updates, but you could also do it by removing and installing again.
The permission was required to fix importing backgrounds with URLs. I am also trying to fix WebSocket connection issue which causes Chat Duplication, Import Chat and I guess Import Character to fail. It will not work for Chat Summary feature either.
None of that is an issue in Chrome which uses manifest 3. Developer response

- Rated 5 out of 5by BeLuna, 2 years agoI tested it, because my "char dumper" script does no longer support chats and this seems to work very well!
- Rated 5 out of 5by ComplexEvil, 2 years agoDoes exactly what's written. No fuss, not setup, just download and it works. Great for when you want to export a convo you had.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14849164, 2 years agoAs of the date of my review, no problem. It downloaded a really long conversation in pretty fast. Thanks for making the extension!
