- Rated 5 out of 5by Localghost, 4 months agoAs good as it gets! This Add-On includes all needed elements to directly handle PDF documents available in the net.
Addendum:
An additional useful feature could be to have a look at the fonts which are used (and probably embedded) in the viewed PDF as in most standalone PDF viewers.Developer response
posted 3 months agoThank you for that terrific review, Localghost!
Reply to addendum:
Inspecting the fonts is currently not supported by the core library (PDF.js). I will bring this up with them. Cheers! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13751308, 4 months agoFar superior to the Adobe Acrobat Official which can't leave you alone to do what you planned on doing. (Read the document.) This is straightforward, what one expects, from a document viewer. Thanks much!

posted 4 months agoYou're welcome! Trivia: that is why I named it a PDF 'Reader' and not a PDF 'Viewer'. ;-)

- Rated 5 out of 5by Brube98, 7 months agoCan I just say awesome? I've tried 'Dark PDF' extensions before which are limited and finnicky at best. The benefit of customizable PDF rendering schemes which WORK to make it both dark AND readable, or beige/sepia, or back to white, packaged as a subtle built-in feature of the default PDF reader for the browser is amazing. Totally underrated and single-handedly makes me glad to be using Firefox over Chrome.

- Rated 4 out of 5by lil_maciex, 10 months agoIs there an option to restore original pdf name instead of the addon name?
Developer response
posted 10 months agoHello! On Firefox desktop, the original PDF name should show up on the tab title.
If you mean the URL in the address bar, unfortunately we cannot change it. However, you can click the 🔗 button to access the original PDF URL.
If you are on Android, you may have to go to the Menu => Add-ons to see the 🔗 button. - Rated 5 out of 5by Cintia, 10 months ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Mizuki, 2 years agoaww thank you so much for this! i have like a hundred scihub tabs and i'm kinda too lazy to have to download them all so this is a total lifesaver (and eyesaver ^^)
i'd like to ask if there's a way to make the reader itself dark mode, like normal firefox's?Developer response
posted 2 years agoHi Mizuki, cool that it is helping you out! I have done my fair share of literature review, so I know how that feels ;)
It should automatically turn dark with the OS dark theme, like the default viewer. If not, can you please open an issue over at the GitHub homepage with your OS+browser details & screenshot? Thanks. Developer response
