by Firefox user 14170362, 6 years agoOh, man, I remember when I had this add-on. It was almost life-saving. (If I were a more dramatic person, I would've said it was DEFINITELY life-saving.) I think I stopped having it after numerous Firefox update that made the version I used incompatible. I haven't felt the need to block certain sites again, thanks to the disciplined habit this add-on helped me build. But now, I'm slipping on the procrastination track, and no better time than to re-install this add-on.
The add-on is highly versatile and doesn't dictate you on how and when to use it. Multiple options make it highly customisable to your own needs, including multiple options of site-blocking groups (i.e., you don't have to worry about needing to access one site while it's being blocked together with another site -- put them in different group, activate them separately, and you're good), scheduled blocking time, ability to start blocking at any time you want, and the option to override the block if you desperately need to (personally not recommended to use unless it's a life or death situation).
If you're looking for a site blocker that's easly altered to your needs as well as easy to use, this is the one for you.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Çağatay, a day agoReally good. I recommend only allowing yourself social media in certain days/hours and have it blocked most of the time.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Dusk, a day agoExactly what I was looking for with granular control in the users hands with ability to have different blocks at the same time
- Rated 5 out of 5by Al, 3 days agoHi Dev! I know this isn't something that's your fault, but I would love if Android had the ability to lock extensions like desktop can, it's unfortunate I can uninstall this. Can you share a link to a discussion/open issue about this so we can maybe get implementation worked on faster? I recommend that we all go to the link and do what we need to so we can get the feature implemented for FF Android.
Also is there a way to sync block lists to a cloud service such as what ublocklist does with it's app integration to Google Drive? It would make the extension so much faster to set up.Developer response

- Rated 5 out of 5by Alyssa, 5 days agoThis extension has been a game changer for productivity. While it took some experimentation to set up, the program works every time. I can't recommend it enough.

- Rated 5 out of 5by aquino40, 14 days agoVery complete add-on. Actually blocks subdomains properly so i can stop myself from getting absorbed into watching shorts with youtube's intrusive recommendations but still usw the site. Great blocking options, customizable, and gotta appreciate that it's free.
- Rated 1 out of 5by lkjhkjhkh, 15 days agoUnintuitive interface. Either it's not possible to configure it to block a website indefinitely (as opposed to a fixed number of hours) or the UI is so unintuitive that I couldn't find that setting even after looking for several minutes.

posted 15 days agoTo block websites indefinitely, enter "0000-2400" as the time period and select all days of the week. It's that simple. 🙂

- Rated 5 out of 5by sebastian, 19 days agoExtremely simple to use, but very effective, really improved my discipline
- Rated 5 out of 5by afred, 19 days agoamazing add-on for helping me focus; I use the delay-page option so I'm forced to evaluate whether i want to waste time on youtube for 60 seconds before it opens.
I recommend taking the time to understand the functions because it can block pages in a lot of ways depending on what works for you. - Rated 5 out of 5by ff@n , 20 days agoOnce again, this addon is a life saver, especially for someone like me who gets easily distracted while online. Love the wildcard option. For example: I have blocked google news on week days. However, if I search anything on google search and then click on the news option, I am able to see news stories related to my search. Using this "*google.com/search?sca_esv=" as a wildcard blocks it perfectly. Maybe a bit extreme, but much needed to get away from the internet. Thanks again.
