by Firefox user 13644371, 7 years agoI'm sorry. I've always loved this add-on. Unfortunately due to the latest change (I understand it's related to Firefox changes) I no longer find it useful. Even after reading the blogs, I still can't quite understand how to save my customized settings correctly and using the whitelist. I'm sure some people will understand this better than I do but I just love the old way too much. It's a no go for me :/

posted 7 years agoPlease give 10.1.6.2 a go: it has separate buttons for temporary and permanent TRUSTED, and move preset customization away from the popup, which many users and myself believe can reduce the confusion.

- Rated 5 out of 5by conscience, 6 hours agoNoScript is an essential piece of the modern web, and it has been for many years. By only allowing the domains you need for vital functionality, you can avoid everything else that is wrong with the modern internet. You can easily exclude dodgy domains (that contain malware), so even sites that contain them become safe as well as far quicker to use. You can often exclude ads, tracking, etc. and anything else undesirable. Trying to browse without it makes the internet seem very slow, which proves what a good job NoScript does. It's so good it is one of the first things I install (after Firefox) on a new PC installation. Highly recommended.

JUST BAN THEIR SCRIPTS (NOT ALL OR THEY CANT WORK) - Rated 5 out of 5by Blargg, 5 days agoBeen using this for years on desktop, and now on Android too. A bit of a hassle to carefully enable only those domains necessary, but keeps slow, bloated sites from bogging me down.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Douglas Burchard, a month agoA terrible extension! Blocks nearly all websites not allowing some to work even after marking all scripts as trusted (meetup.com for example). I tried this for several weeks and would never install it again.

- Rated 1 out of 5by muzel , a month agoSince Firefox 134.0 (64-Bit Linux) (or newest NoScript 12.1.1?) my main profile is broken. I see only blank pages, as long as NoScript is active, and no way to configure.

- Rated 5 out of 5by DiGiTaL-CORE, 2 months agoI've used NoScript for as long as I can remember. I love having such control over what websites can do on my side of the browsing experience. So many unnecessary scripts... Combined with uBlock, I can tell exactly what is not needed.
