- Rated 5 out of 5by super6plx, 5 years agoEXCELLENT addon, works VERY well. The only issue: the author's imposed limit on amount of allowed sponsor segments is not high enough to cover all the network television ad breaks on their YouTube live-streams. my only suggestion is to bump up this limit to scale with the length of the video, not just have a hard cap of 10 or whatever it is, regardless of the video's length.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13801775, 5 years agoThis is simply essential. Mozilla must have this extension in recommended section. Working great on every video with tedious sponsored content I stumbled upon, opensource, and with properly explained privacy-policy (which is obviously important in such software that requires phoning back)
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14863624, 5 years agoI've had the thought for this kind of app several times when annoyed by ads but I never looked to close into whether or not someone had already made something like it.
I was quite happy when I found this extension although somewhat surprised I hadn't run into it earlier given my active interest in adblocking.
Works great, love it. Thanks for making it.
PS. Have you ever considered adding the ability to ad a black rectangle over the screen (moveable and resizable by the reporter) so it might cover sponsored banners invid when skipping would also skip valuable content? Just a suggestion, although I do not know if it would be feasible. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15508803, 5 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by SAS41, 5 years agoI love this addon, I hate sponsor segments and it was to the point that I started to unsubscribe from certain channels with more obnoxious segments, this is a great addition to my short-list of must haves.
I have to say, the collection of data is a concern, but I suppose since the sponsored segment times come from user submissions, the data collection is a must, to deter and stop bad-actors from submitting wrong data.
I see it as a necessary evil.
5 stars for quality addon, source code and clear and understandable privacy policy.
This should be part of the "Recommended" addons by Firefox.
Ajay, please apply for it!Developer response
posted 5 years agoI think we'll reach 5k downloads pretty soon (That is the minimum to apply).
I want to add a local database that will be used for older videos (since they don't need the same real-time updating), but there are still a lot of quirks I need to figure out before doing that (updating votes and making the server be able to send out that much data at once).
Check the options if you want to disable the skip counting :) - Rated 5 out of 5by Khamomile, 5 years ago
