- Rated 5 out of 5by Jay, 2 years agoEasily the easiest of the VTTs in my opinion. With the direct plugin to DnDBeyond, your players have one place to go for everything. I highly recommend it.
- Rated 5 out of 5by zereissen, 3 years agoExcellent VTT, a breeze to use - so great having all of my ddb content within easy reach with no weird imports or reconstruction of content necessary.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13457486, 3 years agoAbsolutely fantastic extension. Its exactly what I've been looking for. Integrated so well that it almost feels like its part of D&D Beyond
- Rated 5 out of 5by Taylor, 3 years agoFor an integrated DnDBeyond VTT, this blew my expectations out of the water. The usability for getting my encounters as a DM quickly onto a board is impressive, and the developer(s?) have been quite responsive to feedback in improving the experience. The overall app experience convinced me to jump into supporting this on patreon over a roll20 subscription simply due to the DnDBeyond integration, and I look forward to seeing how it develops.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17212817, 3 years agoThis is an amazing tool. The integration with D&D Beyond makes it so much easier to play.
I was most impressed by how it uses the D&D Beyond character sheet.
The ability to add status effect markers to the map tokens like Inspiration or Disadvantage makes it easier to remember them.
Being able to automatically roll with Advantage or Disadvantage is something that the character sheet ought to have been able to do.
Maybe the people at D&D Beyond should hire the folks who make Above VTT. - Rated 5 out of 5by KnightOfRohan, 3 years agoThis is a wonderful VTT with a lot of features that I believe are missing from Roll20 which is what I have been using for over a year.
It has an extremely intuitive interface with multiple ways to have the information you need exactly where you need it.
The main things I love about it:
1. A way to use your DnD Beyond purchases directly in your VTT, especially monster stat blocks, instead of doubling purchases on Roll20 or even another VTT.
2. Quick setup of DnD Beyond campaigns with both player and
3. As a DM, quickly reference a player's stats instead of having to open a character sheet in Roll20.
4. Works with the DnD Beyond campaign journal to track rolls and chat.
It is still in development but it is already the simplest and most easy to use VTT I have encountered, and it works with DnD Beyond which is my go-to for all WoTC content. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17071793, 3 years agoWhile using AboveVTT one of my players could not see the tokens on the map and there was lag or something causing the tokens to occasionally move back to their previous positions. Also it took a while for my player's tokens to update after they changed their character's portraits.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Maggus, 4 years agoIf you're using DnDBeyond this is simply the easiest way to go from managing character sheets to fighting monsters in a dungeon.
DDB has made good advances lately with the encounter builder and combat tracker, but this tool made by one developer is leaps and bounds the greatest thing DDB needed to be used as a one-stop provider of digital D&D content. I really hope it'll get appreciated and adopted by them.
Anyway, I'm ditching roll20, tableplop, shardVtt, owlbear, astral, and Foundry for this.
It's in alpha, UI is kinda ugly, has bugs, players can move every and each token, there's no line of sight, FoW is as basic as possible, and I STILL prefer this. Why? It's really realllly reallly simple and fast to use and I don't have to buy/transfer my DDB content elsewhere. - Rated 5 out of 5by Stumpy, 4 years agoI'm loving this incredible extension for a VTT making use of DNDBeyond and the content I have purchased there. It's simple, slick and accessible for myself and my players. It works with other players using Chrome very nicely and Daniele has been achieving great things development-wise. Bugs, once highlighted, are prioritised and worked in with full visibility. I'm a Patreon now for him as I find it so good. I thoroughly recommend it.
