- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16856936, a day agoABP has become as bad as the ads it blocks. I allow it to auto-update, and the result is always an ABP ad begging for money. Don't these people realize I am busy doing something to force the ad on me? Plus it doesn't keep track of whether I paid them anything. Today I installed it on a new PC, and it FORCED ME to pay $5 (which it said I can a refund, but don't see how to do that; it IS probably worth $5). I see now when I click the ABP icon, I get a small ad at the bottom of that window. It's disgusting. ABP's obnoxious ads will keep me from ever paying them money again -- unless of course they force the issue on yet another new PC someday. I like the ads-blocking, but I hate the constant, obnoxious begging for money. Also, I'm not going to bother researching it, but I am an American, but the charge ($5) was international (I got a credit-card warning). Also, for some reason, it gave me PREMIUM for a while: I don't want it. I turned off the features that seemed linked to PREMIUM.

posted 3 days agoHi,
If you are using a mobile device, we are currently unable to consistently block ads on YouTube.
If you are using the Adblock Plus extension on a desktop browser, you should not be seeing full length ads though you may see a variety of different behaviors such as a temporary black screen or a very brief display of an ad (less than a second or two). These are related to our efforts to stop the entirety of the ad appearing.
If you are seeing full length ads, I recommend checking out this article: https://help.adblockplus.org/hc/en-us/articles/26653087560595-Ads-appearing-on-YouTube
If the steps in that article don't help, could you send us a message to support@adblockplus.org ? We will be happy to look into it!- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18446093, 21 days ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Blue, a month agoI've disabled this extension, as it's way too obtrusive and unneccesary to be notified with a new browser window EVERYTIME the extension is updated. Ridiculous.

posted a month agoHi,
We are updating the extension, therefore a popup might appear (it will only happen once per browser/device), but you can simply close it and continue browsing. If you are seeing many payment tabs all at once or encountering the payment page every time you open your browser, please reach out to us via support@adblockplus.org.
Here's more about how our contribution page works: For non-Premium users, we populate the page when we update the extension to keep you informed on changes we've made and as a reminder to support Adblock Plus if you find the software beneficial. We don't track who has previously paid unless your extension is already upgraded to Adblock Plus Premium (and in that case we won't show you the update page at all). The contribution page also displays just after installing ABP so it sometimes appears even though you have recently contributed or have paid for Premium. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18432213, a month agoTohle byl dřívě naprosto must-have doplněk. Teď z toho výrobce evidentně těží a nechává si platit za to, že některé reklamy nechá "proklouznout"-

Don't buy it unless you are sure you can get rid of the free versions and get the paid version working. I couldn't.

posted a month agoHi,
thank you for contacting Adblock Plus.
To get the icon to show on your screen on Firefox, just do the following:
1 - Click the puzzle piece icon, located on the top right of your screen.
2 - Find Adblock Plus.
3 - Right-Click on Adblock Plus.
4 - Select Pin to Toolbar.
5 - The icon now appears on the toolbar.
If you cannot find the ABP icon on this menu, then it is likely the installation was not completed. You can download it again from our homepage: www.adblockplus.org
Note: Every time ABP is installed you will see our contribution page. Feel free to close the page by clicking the "x" on the tab if you've already paid or prefer not to contribute at this time.- Rated 1 out of 5by D_S, 2 months ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by nothingforyou, 2 months ago"Adblock Plus has been updated! " Are you kidding me? This is browser hijacking adware built into an ad blocker! YOU HAVE DESIGNED IT SPECIFICALLY TO OPEN WHEN YOU CLICK LINKS/NEW TABS. The whole design of the popup is adware meant to hijack your browser. I suggest reporting this as 'something else' and explaining that it's hijacking browser tabs.

But every day, it goes against its own mission of preventing ads by creating its own advert. Without notice it opens own page without permission scrounging for more donations. It's very annoying & disruptive. You are ruining your own great brand because of your incessant greed. If it continues I will remove it from all browsers and devices. Thanks again for the period of time when you were great when you were doing what you set out to do.
UPDATE: I have had a couple of nonsense emails from them (standard cover email) not by I person! People need to be aware of these facts, The company started out as "AdBlock" at the time I donated to the cause around once a year, then there was an update "AdBlock Plus" accepting that there is costs to make improvements I made a donation! Now it's "AdBlock Premium" and a constant bombardment of everyday nagging screens. Whats next after AdBlock Premium? "AdBlock Super Blocker"? AdBlock Fantastic? "AdBlock Exterminator"? I have now decided to remove AdBlock from my browsers - They say that they are sorry to see me go! Really!!!Developer response

Every time its updated (every 2-3 days) it'll bring up a page that begs for donations, and you can't disable it. But if you "purchase" premium, that page won't come up.
I've seen the developers responses, trying to skirt around the issue "But if its multiple tabs at once then report to us immediately!"
Absolute adwere scam. Absolutely ironic.
PS: Note how the developers response doesn't actually talk about the issue. You. Cannot. Turn off. The advert.Developer response

posted a month agoHi,
We are as frustrated by Twitch's ability to circumvent our blocks as you are. We have been looking for solutions, but with our last attempt, they detected our blocks and placed a purple notification screen which generated a large number of complaints from our users.
Twitch is very well-funded with a large team entirely focused on finding ways around our blocks. At the same time, we are also working against similar teams at YouTube and Facebook, not to mention the many other sites where we are successfully blocking ads.
I am sorry for the inconvenience this creates in the meantime. Please feel free to reply back if you have any questions or if there is anything else I can do for you; I'm happy to help!- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18402899, 2 months agoБольше не бесплатный. Требуют от 500р за покупку

Adblock Plus is a completely free extension. Every time ABP is installed you will see our contribution page. Feel free to close the page by clicking the "x" on the tab if you've already paid or prefer not to contribute at this time. - Rated 1 out of 5by Tehhutch, 2 months agoRemoved after years of use, My browsing session being interrupted by tabs informing me of updates, then nagging for donations is more annoying than the ads it's supposed to block.. I get that developers need support, but there's better ways of doing this.
"Once per browser per device" every time an "update" is pushed out is a terrible way of doing this and false when I see the tab opened several times in an evening during a browsing session.
ABP could do better, instead I have removed it and moved on to other add-ons as it's not worth the headache or interruptions. There are better, more competitive tools out there these days, that behave better than this... Sorry but you could do better.Developer response

Nothing tells me that it's on my computer anywhere. I paid for this and now I don't have a clue where it is !
