- Rated 4 out of 5by Charles, 5 years agoThis is a lifesaver if you've come from Chrome, which is much better for search engine customization. It works very nicely, and unlike another add-on I tried, it will find the appropriate favicon for the search engine on its on.
Only real flaw is after you add a search engine, when you add the next it will by default continue using the last favicon. You have to always delete the current custom favicon url before entering the next search string if you want the write icon.
If you add a different url it should find the proper favicon. Short of that, there should be a "clear" button so I don't have to select and delete.
Also it won't let you add a nickname, but I'm assuming that's a limitation of Firefox. - Rated 5 out of 5by filtys00, 5 years ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13949488, 5 years agoCould you please tell me how to add a search engine using payload of JSON or XML format?
Developer response
posted 5 years agoI am not sure what this means. You can see the documentation at: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/OpenSearch. "application/x-suggestions+json" can be used for suggestions when entering you search query. In general we can only support what Firefox supports. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15397798, 5 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by tipar, 5 years agoEasy to use if you know a little about search engines. It worked on criticker with https://www.criticker.com/?search=%s It does what I needed, add the search directly into the search bar as Wikipedia; Duck, etc.

- Rated 5 out of 5by maxoku, 5 years agoGreat add-on, but it would be nice if it had an instruction. What exactly am I suppose to type in suggest url to get suggestions in search bar?
Edit: Oki thanks, I've found what I was looking for and it works now.Developer response
posted 5 years agoI am afraid I can't help you directly. You just have to know where to get that information. Most search engines don't actually support suggestions, but for example DuckDuckGo uses https://duckduckgo.com/ac/?q={searchTerms}&type=list as seen in their OpenSearch XML: https://duckduckgo.com/opensearch.xml - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14672395, 5 years ago

I think i had a virus which made amazon my default search engine and trying to restore to default would only bring back amazon, none of firefox's reccomendations on solving the problem worked,( whi did they fucking remove the manual management of engines).
thx u saved me a lot of time. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14559003, 5 years agoAn awsome plug-in BUT I can not find a way for changing the sequence of the custom search engines I've made.
