There is still a white flash, therefore it doesnt help.

It flashbangs - when opening new tab there's a flashbang of white, then switch to black. Defeats the whole purpose of this addon.

Just makes the new tab grey without any of the previous buttons still there.

This add-on was very helpful for me since I have floaters in my eyes and could see them very clearly with a white new tab, but a recent Firefox update made it so that this add-on delays keyboard input by 0.5 seconds, so that when I'm halfway done writing my search query, the new tab refreshes and I lose everything that I typed. It also seems that this functionality is in Firefox by default, so I went ahead and removed the addon. Thank you for developing this when I needed it!

No permissions required. Has a nice intro page on installation. The new tab page is all dark (not incredibly dark) or all white (you can toogle it with an icon on the top left corner).

Saves my eyes. Essential add-on for lovers of dark themes on the newer Firefox versions with protected internal pages. Thank you so much!

It works well, but I wish it would open with my cursor in the search bar so I can start typing without clicking on it.
