- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13754958, 2 years agoWorks fairly well. Has UK which is what I was looking for. Google speed test: 0.84 Mbps down and 0.20 up (slow of course, but probably faster than some other free VPNs). Has occasional annoying popups asking you to pay them, but you can get rid of these popups with e.g. uBlock Origin

posted 2 years agoThe sales reminder appears only once per current sale, and many users value this chance to get Premium service with a good discount. We're sorry if it bothered you. To turn these reminders off, you can click the gear in Browsec and check 'Don't show promo offers'. - Rated 3 out of 5by Moris, 2 years ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by TELLALL4ALL, 3 years ago8-31-24: the best free vpn addon. more stable than the rest. Not a PITA to use like the others, reliable. But too slow and not enuf free IPs. I've tried them ALL and there is not really a top notch vpn offeted by mozilla, not free at least. Browsec comes closest. Rest are a PITA to use can't connect, break connections and other unreliable behavior not seen with browsec. The guys at browsec seem to know what they are doing unlike all the others.
7-29-24; there are no good free vpn addons. Browsec is the most reliable and stable of them, but it is too slow.
I thought I found a new good one. I won't mention the name as I don't want it to be flooded with new users. The worst of the bunch is adguard vpn. I THOUGHT I have found a good one in cyberghost vpn but it was not and ony works on certain older browsersnewer browsers cannot connect. ALL OF THEM have frequent disconnects that probably reveal your home ip, so they are not really helping with privacy. Browsec would be great if they could increase the speed X2. I'm not gonna pay to find out.
10-20=23: browsec servers are getting more flaky. Slow of sometimes cannot bring up GI tochange vpns requiring on and off or reinstall. some sites are banning their vpn IPs. not enuf free choices and thruput often too slow.
3-17-23: best free vpn addon. exceedingly easy to use and connect. you don't spend all your time trying to get the damn thing to connect and work as with the other "free" vpns. They have begun spamming you with ads and hijacking your browser to do so, but not too bad. Limited selection of IPs for free but they added ENgland a step in the right direction. Good free vpn, use it a lot.
12-17-22: good free, really free vpn. Stable. Fast connections, does not leak dns. small number of countries but they are mostly good. so far best free vpn addon
11-3-2022: one of the best free vpns in easy use and install. Refreshing after going thru all the crap the other "free" vpns inflict on you. Still limited in IPs but at least they work most of the time unlike adguard vpn.
simple easy to connect vpn, no registration BS, no email required just connect. FAST and simple interface. Blocks other vpns when activated and I believe block connection is vpn Ip is broken somehow protecting your privacy. Biggest downfall is small list of vpn ips under free plan, I think 5? - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 16473059, 3 years ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by UnknownVT, 3 years agoworked fine for years - Aug/15/2022 got internet speeds below 1MB/s! slowed down everything on FireFox.
- Rated 3 out of 5by aebbee, 3 years agoWorks Okay. But only problem (or say nuisance) is, it gets removed of its own every 15-20 hours. no reason no logic just vanishes from addon list. and you just have to keep reinstalling. one more thing noticed, just found that it crashes my whatsapp web & all google sites (viz. gmail, Gsearch, & even youtube) I need to exit from firefox. clear cache & then by restarting only i could use any google related site. Strange ! for now I have uninstalled browsec. will check in future. Hope dev team can find a solution to this.
