I can't reproduce the issue. The torrent files on hdreactor.info are served as application/x-bittorrent. I was able to set a program to "always open with" in Firefox, and then clicking the "torrent file" link executed the program automatically (no extra dialogs). If it had been treated as an attachment, I would've gotten a "save as" dialog.
