by Rujin parker, 4 months agoI was looking for a way to copy the wiki text without citation links and was stoked to find this one coz there are many extensions on firefox that provides this functionality. but what different about this one is that it allows individuals with ADHD, like me, to read the entire wiki article way more frequently than w/o it. Personally, where I currently live. we have only two pharmaceutical options, neither of which have been really effective for me. but with this, I'm able to read the complete wiki article approximately 60% of the time, compared to only 10% previously.
how it does that exactly you may ask? it achieves this by presenting the text by compartmentalizing the text into a darker color scheme to create the clear distinction with the offwhite color of wikipedia. and changing the font, this creates a distraction-free reading environment. While I'm aware that most browsers offer a reader mode, I often forget to enable it. This extension, however, is always active. provides a seamless and consistent reading experience that I find incredibly helpful. The subtle design changes make a significant difference, allowing me to focus and absorb the content more easily.
Additionally, if possible, I'd love to see two small quality of life improvements. As an Obsidian (PIM) user, I make a lot of backlinks and sometimes want to copy text with internal wiki links that are embedded within the text e.g. [Cristian Mungiu](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cristian_Mungiu), but without citation links (e.g., [1], [2], etc.).
So, 1st, It'd be amazing QOL improvement, if you could give me the option to copy text without citation links, but with internal links that are embedded within the text, Alternatively, I'd love to be able to copy text with just the empty link format for Obsidian innerlining for e.g. [[Cristian Mungiu]].
& 2nd, I often want to copy the wiki tables, but the formatting gets all messed up! I have to use another extension to fix the issue, which is a hassle. It would be amazing if the extension could allow me to copy and paste tables into obsidian perfectly, with its exact formatting!
Thankyou for reading!
