How It Works

When you add the connector, Antidote’s iconic flask icon appears among your extensions. Pin the flask to the toolbar for quick access to the connector menu.

📝 Proofread your writing with Live Correction (exclusive to Antidote+ and Antidote 12):

• Correct editable text fields on the web in real time as you type. A floating flask button will appear in the active field and flag errors, alerts and triggers for custom rules.
• Click a detection to view an explanatory tooltip and apply the correction.
• Hover over the flask button to continue your revision in Antidote or to disable Live Correction for the active field.
• Disable Live Correction for a given website from the connector menu.

✅ Correct text without having to copy-paste:

• Select any text in the browser window and choose Corrector from the connector menu to run the text through Antidote’s corrector.
• Enjoy convenient access to all Antidote’s advanced features from your browser.
• Apply changes directly to the source text while working in Antidote!

📚 Consult the dictionaries or language guides:

• Select any text in the browser window and choose Dictionaries or Guides from the connector menu to launch a search for the selection in Antidote.
• Choose a specific dictionary or guide from the sub-menu, as needed.
• Replace a word directly in the source text from a dictionary entry.
