i've used this for years and i still have no idea what this does

Recently realized after a long period mostly offline that videos were failing to load properly (if at all) and was having extensive connectivity issues with a game I play in my browser (Flight Rising, not exactly resource-intensive but I thought it was high traffic at first). I removed only this extension and my browser now runs fine. I'm inclined to agree with the reviewers who claim this extension does not work how it used to.
