by Firefox user 18165608, 7 months agoAt first everything worked fine but then when I decided to disable the website blocker ALL my 20+ youtube tabs never returned to their original state!
I just lost all my youtube tabs that I had opened... thank to this extension.
If you don't have tons of tabs opened at the same time the extension may work for you but in my case it just ruined everything.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Seldom, 5 months agoI prefer it to alternatives bc it has a whitelist mode, which is a must-have for me. Thank you, AXeL, this has saved me from very many hours of distraction.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18188176, 7 months agoit's great, but completelly unusable due to mere 2 little mistakes... i need more unblock time in those entire 6 hours time-spam, 10 minutes would suffice, 60 SECONDS!? i don't like feeling insulted, just so you know! and then, the second issue is that when i tried to work around the mistake of limited customization for emergency-time or quick-pause by slicing the schedules in many shorter schedules, eventually leaving 3 minutes between each slice of the schedule, i discovered that THE EXTENSION LIMITS YOU TO 2 SCHEDULES!
i wondered why... but then i quickly remembered (unfortunetly for what little mental health i have left) Apple fanboys FILTH exist, and those pathetic, disgusting elitist animals, much like scummy Apple itself, despise the idea of "options" or "customization", even to something as important as work-space... yeah, the developers must be some worthless bunch of those disgraces to Humanity that are each and every single one of the Apple fanboys, that would explain the seemingly ridiculous and irrational decisions to limit customization to NOTHING in such a nice extension, i guess only that would explain. - Rated 5 out of 5by ItsGabeReal, 8 months ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17944560, a year agoNajhoršia skúsenosť akú som kedy mal.
Rozšírenie po aktivácií začalo blokovať niektoré stránky bez akéjkoľvek logiky.
Keď som rozšírenie vypol, stránky sa nenačítali.
Následne som sa snažil zorientovať v tlačidlách Whitelisted, Blacklist a Balance, no stránky stále nenabehli.
Rozšírenie som teda deaktivoval v nastaveniach a všetky pozastavené karty bez varovania zatvorilo.
Otvorených som mal približne 50 kariet s rozrobenou prácou na 7 virtuálnych plochách.
Deaktivácia zatvorila približne 15 kariet bez akéhokoľvek upozornenia.
Strávil som približne 3 hodiny tým, aby som prešiel všetky okná a zistil, ktoré karty boli zatvorené. - Rated 5 out of 5by TV2000, a year ago

It has actually helped me stop procrastinating while at work - Rated 1 out of 5by mpsenick, a year agoI have legitimately never understood how this works and it just blacklists everything. Like absolutely no clue
- Rated 5 out of 5by grahamperrin, a year agoVery well-designed. Not bloated. Recently maintained.
Hints: (a) review the default blacklist before enabling the extension; (b) in miscellaneous preferences, consider enabling the extension at browser startup time. - Rated 5 out of 5by Jacob Tjørnholm, 2 years ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by kazooi, 2 years agothis add-on has helped me for many years but now i'm noticing how inconsistent the add-on is becoming. I usually turn on/off the add-on during my semester breaks and for the last year it would need a little kick and maybe an uninstall and reinstall to help it actually work, but now I've just given up. I turned the add-on back on because I started my summer semester a while ago but it's just not working anymore!!

posted 2 years agoHey, thank you for your feedback, can you please open an issue on the github repository (https://github.com/AXeL-dev/distract-me-not/issues) with some steps to reproduce the issue. - Rated 5 out of 5by Shane MD, 2 years ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by KirkH420, 3 years agoIt's not possible to block URLs from an add-on. If you think that it can be done, you're mistaken and what you're seeing is a redirect to an internal page. Some of these add-ons supply a blank page, some display a configuration page... but they all display some sort of page. Blocking a URL would stop the browser from loading anything at all. Which is what is being asked when a person is asking for a site to be blocked. A request to a URL behind one of these fake-blockers will still be seen by the server that the end user wished to block. The User's IP (or VPN IP) will still be logged on the host server.

- Rated 3 out of 5by yukupalm, 3 years agoIn theory I love it. In practice it's blocking pages that it shouldn't, although I'm in Blacklist and not in Whitelist mode. Some of these pages I need for work. If I need to turn it of to be able to work, it's unusable for me.

posted 3 years agoHey, thanks for your feedback! It would be helpful if you can open an issue on the github repository with steps to reproduce the same behavior => https://github.com/AXeL-dev/distract-me-not/issues - Rated 5 out of 5by reviewer, 3 years agoGreat add-on! The only thing missing for me is an option to disable the blocker for a specific amount of minutes (e.g. 5 min, 10 min)
I have the habit to look up something on wikipedia for my studies and then losing myself in various articles, so a usage-timer would be a helpful extension to this add-onDeveloper response
posted 3 years agoHey, thanks for your rating! For your request, i guess that you can do that from the unblock interface (but you need to set a password first) see the following screenshot => https://github.com/AXeL-dev/distract-me-not/blob/master/screenshots/unblock.png?raw=true - Rated 5 out of 5by Atharva Pai, 3 years ago
