Hoping, in the future, this will also work to eliminate "hyperlink auditing" (via the "ping" attribute), which may eventually replace Google's current technique.

This addon just prevents URL tracking, but Google uses several other tricks to track your clicks, e.g. Google gets much more information using javascript (example: track event mouseup)
The developer does nothing to make this addon as advertised.
