by cheatfreak47, a year agoFastForward, like it's predecessor Universal Bypass, is a tool only some people will get use out of, but the use of it for those people is tremendous.
Being able to skip through link shorteners, especially the horrendously invasive and malware riddled ones like adfly is a massive time saver when going on forums and downloading things where these sorts of things are often used.
If you've never had the displeasure of dealing with one of these kinds of sites, count yourself lucky. You probably just haven't tried to download things from the internet much, I'm guessing. I run into these services on a regular basis in various forums.
Now, most of these sites just serve a crap load of ads anyway, which my content blocker would take care of, but still, the wait times are annoying even in those cases, so this still has been quite an asset.
So, overall, it's quite excellent, and that's not even mentioning how it also unshortens pure-tracking URL shorteners like bitly.
I highly recommend FastForward, it's a great companion extension to other privacy and blocking extensions.

The server for the "crowd bypass" function is still running, which might merit installing this anyway. But skipping adfly type garbage is always a cat and mouse game, so when the cat retires... - Rated 5 out of 5by AcecardflipsHatsdownmix, 4 months agoTop, there is a huge payment on websites providing bad users, so they are fabricated at the extent that they can enforce and push further tracking policies based on it, thus websites like Microsoft is tracking bad users by at first creating them or some agnostic bets trader site is invoking bad users treatment for browsing their website and then deleting their tracker cookies. Is a big point here to block websites from getting the IP if being at first blocked by users
