- Rated 1 out of 5by andus.andre, 4 years agoNot sure why it's even listed. Seems very clunnky to have to go to options each time to use. Never been able to save or use. It does not seem to work anymore. REMOVE.
- Rated 1 out of 5by unknown14725, 4 years agoDoes not work anymore. Used to work fine a couple of years ago. I dont get why people are giving it 5 stars today. Are they on a really old version of Firefox perhaps?

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14320466, 4 years agoI could not get this app to work. I couldn't see the extension icon in the top-right of firefox, so there was nothing to click to get the favicon changed. Frustrating.
- Rated 3 out of 5by timtak, 5 years agoI can't seem to get it to work. There are a lot of google sites, so I would like e.g. books.google.com to display a book favicon and not the "G."
I opened the page for the extension. Entered https://books.google.com
downloaded and selected a book favicon and saved it as a png file. Now when I type in books.google.com to the address bar the favicon of the tab is changed to the book favicon of my choice but my bookmark bar favicon remains the G even if I drag the new book favicon Google Books tab to the book mark bar.
Additionally, pages that I open with my bookmark bar entry at the same address, do not have their favicon changed, unless I reload them.
I have tried it with another URL and the same result.
I am not using the name string now but I did try it.
I have tried deleting history too. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14088718, 5 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Ed_P, 5 years agoIt doesn't work with my 60.9.0 ESR release. Any way to get it fixed??
- update (03/12) -
Now it works!! Thank you. :-)
But it doesn't support .ico icons. The .ico files have to be converted to .png format.
There is a concern when adding a new favicon to the system when there are others implemented. The Custom favicon function for the implemented favicons shows "No file selected" even though there is an icon shown to the right of the Name entry field. - Rated 5 out of 5by bigred, 5 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Alexey Murz Korepov, 5 years agoWorks well on last Firefox and do the job great! Will be good to allow remote images as source of favicons, instead of local files upload.

- Rated 2 out of 5by KAI BRUNNEN, 5 years agoThis needs some work. Can't even change or remove the icon after applying it. I'm better off changing it in userChrome.css.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Jeremy, 5 years agoCould not get it to work, I tried restarting Firefox, and removing all history entries for the site.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15179875, 5 years agoIt worked perfectly on the first try. It took me a second to find how to configure the add-on, but once I did, I was able to set a favicon for a website that had no favicon. Woohoo!
It would be convenient if you could right-click on a tab and there would be an option "Set Favicon" that would autofill the favicon-customizer configuration with the website URL and allow me to set a favicon. - Rated 5 out of 5by MenioMercina, 5 years agoWorks perfectly for me! Was able to completely customise the favicons of various websites in the browser window as well when saved as a bookmark in the toolbar.
# Do note that once you customise a website's bookmark favicon, you'll have to delete all occurances of that website from your browser history in order for you to update the website's favicon with a new one (new ones wouldn't show up for me otherwise). - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14976155, 6 years agoWorked great, just leave the string box empty.
You do need to close and reopen the tab after restarting FF though. - Rated 1 out of 5by Big Al Mintaka, 6 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by run1492, 6 years agoThe extension fails when you open a link in a new TAB, doing it with a ctrl+click or with the mouse's context menu "open in new tab". Then, you have to refresh the page with ctrl+F5 to show the icon.
