- Rated 1 out of 5by BlackWinny, 3 years agoI confirm: it doesn't work on my Firefox either (last version 100.0, 64-bit). First shortcut key chosen: "²" (superscript 2), then others tries (whitout the quotes of course). None works. Tried also with all my other addons disabled... same behavior: not working. Perhaps something changed in the API WebExtensions of Firefox...

I have seen the developer response regarding version 3.0. I am on that version and it is still not working. I have tried changing the shortcut key but it still doesn't work.
Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
In response to developer questions below:
Firefox Version: 90.0.2 (64-bit)
OS Version: Windows 10 (21H1)
Add-on version: 3.0
I have tried disabling all other add-ons and uninstalling and re-installing this add-on. It is still not working.

posted 3 years agoThank you for reporting the bug.
I checked it in my environment (mac os bigsur and Windows10: FireFox90.0.2 (64-bit)), but the problem does not reproduce.
Can you tell us about your environment?
I will create the same environment as you and reproduce the defect.
If you don't mind, can you tell me what other add-ons you are using? (Check if it interferes with other add-ons.)
thank you. - Rated 5 out of 5by kinghat, 3 years agostopped working recently. if you update it, can you make it override feedlys own shortcuts? would love to get "o" to open again. id just submit a pr but the code is not posted on a public repo anywhere.

posted 3 years agoSince I was using old deprecated code, it seems that it stopped working with the version upgrade of firefox. The modified Ver3.0 has been released.
I hope it works in your environment as well.
If I set o as a shortcut key from the option, it works in my environment, but how about Ver3?
Also, I added a github page with the code. - Rated 5 out of 5by George, 4 years agoSuch a simple extension but adds to the functionality so much.
Note that as of the date of this review it appears that Feedly's html class hierarchy changed and it broke this extension. The fix is relatively simple, by adding '.entry--selected a.entry__title' to the list of selectors in the feedly_background_tab.js file of the extension. However to use the updated extension you'll have to do the dance to sign the updated extension, or use FF nightly or dev and disable signing. Not ideal I guess but better than nothing.
edit 1/17: thanks omon for the quick update! I added a star :). However it's not working for me, don't know why. I see that you added the same classes I did to the selectors, but the code is not reaching the selector I use (.entry--selected a.entry__title). Because I always use Feedly in collapsed view, i.e. I don't click on the titles of articles to expand them.Developer response

I'm glad if the movement is what you expect. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15993576, 4 years agoI set the shortcut key to 'v' - it opened tabs in the foreground not the background. Linux/firefox 76
- Rated 4 out of 5by Alexey Romanov, 5 years agoWould be good to support overriding the default `v` key.

Update 2021-08-03 - stopped working after a recent update to Firefox (v90). Using plugin version 3, running on Windows 10.
