- Rated 5 out of 5by kelendral, 7 years agoWorking great using the 5.2.3 version on both Basilisk 2018.02.02 and Pale Moon 27.7.2
I would like to give extra thanks to the developer (Dave G) for keeping the DB files the same between the Web Ext version and the XUL version.
I was able to use the Web Ext 6.0.1 files to keep my XUL 5.2.3 version updated.
Thank you for this addon.Developer response
posted 7 years agoI've released a Flagfox 5.2.4 update, primarily for Firefox 52 ESR, but it'll work in anything else Flagfox 5.2.x runs in. You can get it here:

(Just FYI: Even after I eventually discontinue providing these updates, I have no plans to change the IPDB file format any time soon, at least not likely in a backwards-incompatible way.) - Rated 5 out of 5by iana, 7 years agogreat addon I've used it for years

- Rated 4 out of 5by Andyross, 7 years agoI have used this for years, and am glad it is still supported and was updated to handle the new WebEx format. I do only have one issue with this current version 6.0: It sometimes doesn't seem to display the flag and info and just shows a generic green globe. I almost wonder if the page renders too fast for it to get the needed info? A page refresh usually updates the flag.
Developer response
posted 7 years agoIt's not the rendering speed, per se. There's no API to get IP addresses after requests, and fetches of cached requests leave their IP field blank. A manual refresh forces a new actual request and thus fetch of the IP, at which point it works. If you're getting the globe when a refresh will cause it to change to a flag, then either Flagfox was loaded before the page was or it somehow got confused and forgot a cached IP, somehow.
Due to the API limitations here, I've got to listen to IPs ahead of time and cache them for when needed. Caching is easy; caching without keeping everything cached forever and becoming a giant memory leak, is more difficult. Flagfox 6.0.1 has some cache improvements, with more likely to come in future updates. TL;DR: Working on it. - Rated 5 out of 5by shoood0, 7 years ago
