- Rated 1 out of 5by ACDude, 4 years agoIt looks very similar to SetupVPN, but doesn't work at all. Any server I click to connect, it fails after about 60 seconds, saying something about proxy and firewall. This on my home network, where I have neither.
- Rated 1 out of 5by nriley068, 4 years agoDon't fall for all those fake 5-star reviews. Hoxx VPN is full of two-faced liars and hypocrites who spy on their own customers for the government while claiming to protect your privacy from "bad people". I will never use this service again.

It should be called HOAX not Hoxx!
READ THEIR PRIVACY POLICY BEFORE YOU ADD TO YOUR BROWSER
I have not read all of the reviews (currently 12,101 as i type this review) and only read through to page 7. I then did the most important part of information research...i READ the CONTRACT, or PRIVACY POLICY as they like to call it in any Firefox Add-On. After reading the first paragraph i got a keen sense of the possibility that the reviews may not all be genuine or believable etc. By the time i had read the next paragraph I became distinctly aware that there was no need for further investigation and, that i would be a total idiot if i installed this Spyware Data Miner.
When you go below the company B***S*** explanation layout (which is laid out like most of the "we have something we are trying to hide from you" contract information company policies) you, are clearly aware of the fact that they are passing on your personal/private/data to third party recipients!
In my humble opinion (IMHO) i would say, do NOT use it! But! Its entirely your choice and it always will be so, its up to you!
Sep/7/2022 UPDATE: from another reviewer to compliment the original one above!
HOXX is BOLLOXX...
If you should find yourself upon this page, then with this extension do NOT engage!
This is no longer of any use to at least 70-90% of people who used it in the past; or even new people of may have tried it...FORGET IT! They have made it so useless so as to get you to pay for their full pro version! Who with any know how active brain cells is going to do business with a company that lies and fakes you out from the get go?...NOT ME! - Rated 1 out of 5by Ronald, 4 years agoNow it has a traffic limit for free users by a maximum of 500 MB for 24 hours. Nice.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16066761, 4 years agoI tried this extension because it was the most evaluated between the options, though it became suspicious once I installed it. It required a registration step which asked for no information (name, e-mail nor any other data) whatsoever, and I had to mark three checkboxes to give them "permissions", in order to move one with the process. No way.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Charger Greg, 4 years agoPurchased the $50 upgrade and now the thing doesn't work at all. Not even the free version anymore. Contacted them and they completely blew me off. TOTAL SCAM!. DO. NOT. BUY!
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16016086, 4 years agoA big warning for this one, if you download and install it (like i unfortunatly did) you grant them the right to monitor and safe your intire browser activity. This is the opposite of privacy.
