i see other reviews saying imagus doesn't work on a lot of sites, i have different results as imagus DOES work on a lot of sites just like Thumbnail Zoom Plus. A few sites that worked on Thumbnail Zoom Plus doesn't work on imagus, but a few sites that work on imagus wouldn't work on Thumbnail Zoom Plus, so it is what it is. These are MY results with the sites i visit.
i just hope Deathamns continues to support this add-on and improve it as we need an extension like this.
My only requests for imagus is for it to support more sites and for the Options Page to be cleaned up. Every setting should have a "?" next to it and clearly explain what each setting does when hovering over the "?", then this will be a perfect 5 stars.
i also use Deathamns' other extension Viewhance - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/viewhance/ - Rated 5 out of 5by unounopanda, 7 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13568799, 7 years agoNot anywhere close to the now gone Thumbnail Zoom Plus. It doesn't work on many sites, or only on certain images. Thumbnail Zoom Plus for instance, enlarged every single picture I wanted to, including users profile images and allowed me to enlarge images endlessly to the extent of my large computer screen.
Unfortunately, Thumbnail Zoom Plus is not the only add on left behind when Mozilla updated to version 57. As a side note, a few weeks after installing, the browser seems to be slowing down. And for love of.... please find a way for the user to override auto refresh (Java?) that's beyond the currently built in option. Update: removed permanently on 07/12/17. - Rated 1 out of 5by fizzgig, 7 years agoThere is an option to use all available space but it never works no matter what combination of settings is used. Imagus always displays the images only slightly larger then the original thumbnail. Just take out the option to "use all available space" since it doesn't do anything. Tweaking the advanced settings doesn't work either.

- Rated 1 out of 5by ziggar.uk, 7 years agodoes nothing but bring up a white box with no image. totally useless. had high hopes after losing the great Thumbnail Zoom Plus. Sadly this does not live up to the hype.
24hours later it is now refusing to do anything other than show a revolving icon. does absolutely nothing. so removed from FF. whats the point of having somethingn installed if it simply doesnt work?? - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13456302, 7 years agoI have tried many, zoom+ was found to work the best.I used it for auctions and everything else. This so called replacement works when it wants to,and doesn't work well.I even tried using an old ff version to get zoom+back.ff "updated"my version so that didn't work for long. This is enough for me to give up on FF. The zoom feature is necessary for ALL the things I use the browser for.I have no reason to use the www w/o something to enlarge images.I'm old and have very poor eye site.I need to enlarge everything.I buy watches and parts.I had to quit repair work. Now I have to buy "blindly" greatly raising the odds against me.AS if it wasn't hard enough fighting thru the scammers on ebay.WORTHLESS EXTENSION
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13534058, 7 years agoIt's no way near the Thumbnail Zoom plus. Don't know why the Firefox is suggesting this as replacement when it can't even do the one job it's supposed to do...It just shows the thumbnail without enlarging it, without enhancing the quality, which makes it annoying and makes the user remove it !
This so called 'Quantum' or Firefox57 has been sucking so far. It took away one of my favorite add-on. I realized how much I've adapted and got used to to Thumbnail zoom plus after they removed it. That extension has become of part of daily browsing but now it's no more. Not just this, they completely changed the interface of browser and filled with useless stuff that are good for nothing.
More ways to push users towards Chrome or other browsers if you ask me. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13526037, 7 years ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Zahhar, 7 years agoI have visited dozens of websites, and I have yet to get a single image to pop up enlarged even a little bit. It'll show me a pop up of the image at exactly the same size as is shown on the web page, but this is entirely useless.
I used Thumbnail Zoom Plus for many years, and found it to be a completely fantastic tool. But for some reason, this "Quantum" upgrade is not so "quantum" after all, since there's zero backward compatibility. I didn't even realize how integral Thumbnail Zoom had become to my natural browsing behavior until it was gone. I feel like I've gone internet-blind and no-one can help me. - Rated 2 out of 5by FIREF0XER, 7 years agoPrior to this new Firefox 57 version I had for years happily used Thumbnail Zoom Plus.
It was fab! Customizable, and worked exactly as desired on more or less every site visited (renowned or small/niche).
This extension unfortunately doesn't seem nearly as good.
Having visited only 2 extremely popular sites so far to test it (Google Images and Ebay) I'm very disappointed to find it won't enlarge the images on the Ebay site.......which means now having to get used to the tedious (previously unnecessary) process of actually opening the sale page for an item every time I want to get a better first-impression look at it.
The failure rate for me of this extensions usability is currently 50%.
If this fails to work on as popular and ubiquitous a site as Ebay (Really?!) it inevitably makes me fear that failure is going to be all too common an experience with this extension.
And I'm consequently already having to look for something else/better.
"Progress" can really suck sometimes... - Rated 4 out of 5by Diser, 7 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13494565, 7 years agoThe enabled/disabled setting does not work - although i have changed and saved the settings...
Everytime i restart FF it's back to initial.
Which means any mouse movement over a news article will trigger countless thumbnail enlargements...
i would prefer to enable the enlargement only with CTRL keypressed ... but this does not work!
Also, i could not figure out how the hot keys are supposed to work. (Pressing keys simply are passed to the original web-site and have no effect on a enlarged thumbnail...)
it would have been a great extension with all the features but it is (still) too buggy... - Rated 3 out of 5by marismo, 7 years agoDziała tylko na niektórych witrynach. Nie działa np. na Onet.pl.
