posted 7 years agoVariant 1:
- Open prefs.js file from Firefox profile folder
- Find string like user_pref("InFormEnter.1.MenuSet" for first profile, user_pref("InFormEnter.2.MenuSet" for second profile etc
- Parse it here http://firefoxer.ru/informenter+convertor.htm or parse it manually
Variant 2:
- Downgrade Firefox to 56 version
- Install 0.771 version of InFormEnter. It must convert data for Firefox 57. Just in case, export all profiles data (button Export in InFormEnter options)
- Reinstall Firefox 57
- Reinstall InFormEnter 0.841 - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13447754, 7 years agoUseless Update.. I am not able to install my old profiles at once. I am not able to find how to add new profile in bulk. When try to fill the form there is only thin sign of inform enter which is sometime hang. really I like older version.
- Rated 4 out of 5by cslillie, 7 years agoWhy does it keep forgetting the items in my profile almost every time I start Firefox 58.0 b3? I close Firefox, then later I start it up again and the profile is back to the default 3 entries. Hmmmm......

posted 7 years agoJust installed Firefox Nightly. Unfortunately, profiles are saving and loading. Are the bookmarks saved in your Firefox? - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13411746, 7 years agoBeing able to move the marker is a massive improvement, so I give back three of the four stars I had taken away.
I'll bring my review to 5 stars if you can provide an icon, or some way to quickly disable/enable without opening the Add-ons tab (maybe in the context menu?).
I also have two suggestions:
First, you should get someone to improve the desciption/ instructions that appear in the Details and Opions windows on the Add-ons tab.
Second, either double the thickness of the lines drawing the marker arrow, or provide options for the marker. It's sort of difficult to click on right now without perfect eye-sight.

In response to your reply:
I had nothing on the toolbar, the icon disappeared when you added the plus to the name. I just tried the customize screen again twice. And after closing it the second time, the icon appeared on the toolbar. (I did nothing but open/close the screen. Seems like that is not your problem!
Oh, and it's not the size of the marker, just the visibility, its too thin for my taste - but it works - so just a suggestion for lines to be heavier.
So I'm a VERY happy user again!
Thanks!Developer response
posted 7 years agoAbout quick disable/enable: do you try to enable/disable from toolbar? Only 2 mouse clicks.
About hints in Options: may be you are right.
About marker size: default icons in Firefox toolbar has size 16x16 pixels, InFormEnter`s marker has size 20x20 pixels. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13428860, 7 years agoNOW 2022: I still love and use this add-on, but there is one thing I am finding verrry annoying: The little blue arrow often plops itself down right on top of the "eye" sign that you click on to make a password visible, and no matter what I do--like changing the size using Ctrl and + or -, that little arrow still sits right there on top, preventing me from seeing the password. Won't you please make it moveable, somehow?

This is really a great addon, which I use a lot, and I'd give it 5 stars, except that it's such a pain to lose the whole list of items that I use whenever the addon is updated. And I couldn't figure out how to carry through with the explanation given this time for getting one's profile back, so I have just done all that typing over again.
I used to think that the loss was the fault of FireFox, but now, for the first time, I have learned that it has to do with InformEnter updates, and I had left it on "Default," rather than having it automatically update. (To tell the truth, I still don't understand what "Default" means for addons because it seems to me that update was made to be either on or off, so what was this third choice of "default"? Neither "on" NOR "off"??? What the..., Mozilla?)
Anyway, thank you for keeping on updating this addon, as FireFox keeps changing. I wouldn't want to lose it. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13428503, 7 years agoAlways works great. No worry about keyloggers! When it updates if your profile "vanishes" go back into settings and select your profile to bring everything back.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13209061, 7 years agoCome on...loss of profile entries with every update sucks!! Please fix this issue asap! I don't want to create my profiles and put in my informations every day! Furthermore I'm missing the possibility to import/ export my profiles and information!
Feels like beta-testing!!Developer response
posted 7 years agoUse last versions of addon and Firefox and be happy.
If you have Firefox 52 or less - use 0.76.1 addon version right up to Firefox upgrade.
If you use Firefox 53-55 - install 0.771 version to convert data and than upgrade addon to the last version.
If you use Firefox Sync - update addon on all connected computers. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12511651, 7 years ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by einerdinger, 7 years agoHi! Just found a little problem on the site https://www.fernsehserien.de/ (for TV series fans). On the upper right corner is an entry field for searching stuff on the site. Using Informenter+ the menu appears and is then partially covered by some graphic object of the site (the yellow menu bar). The items not visible cannot be selected. I'm using Win7/FF 56.0.2
Thanx - Rated 5 out of 5by MaDonna, 7 years agoAs I said, getting better every day, but now it shows the arrow on the Desktop Nexus site but not the theme submit page. So almost there and I do appreciate all the work you are doing. Sounds like others are as well. So if the little arrow icon would show up on any blank input place it would be absolutely perfect! ♥
UPDATE! I now have the Right click that shows InformEnter and I can choose what I want to be added BUT it doesn't add the selected item from my list.
Thanks for letting me know. You have done a great job and I really appreciate it. I will support your extension on my blog!Developer response
posted 7 years agoSites can prohibit the injection of images and javascript code from extensions (by HTTP header Content-Security-Policy). Mozilla's site including. By this reason part of InFormEnter code (so-called content scripts) are blocked (on problem site press Shift+Ctrl+J and find errors like "Content Security Policy: The page’s settings blocked the loading of a resource at self"). I do not know what it is - a feature or a bug of Firefox (InFormEnter in Chrome allows insert data from context menu on this page). In this situation I can not fix anything. I regret.
Update: it is not a bug, it is a feature. Read here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1310082 - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13417633, 7 years agoОтличное расширение. Мне оно заменило старые добрые заметки оперы

- Rated 5 out of 5by MVD, 7 years agoIt seems like the arrow icon has moved from outside the text field to inside it, and this is causing me some difficulty because I have another extension that also tries to place its icon there. For some sites, I can't get to the other extension's functionality because clicking on that spot always brings up the InformEnter+ icon. Could we get an option to place the icon where it used to be, outside the text box?

posted 7 years agoMarker location can be changed by right click since 0.831 version - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13406126, 7 years agoThis may be a relatively simple add-on but it is one of the very best out there and deserves 6 out of 5 stars... thank you
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13399157, 7 years agoзачем клепать кривые обновления? во первых все ранее введённые данные пропал. во вторых если заново ввести, то он и эти не сохраняет.
