- Rated 1 out of 5by The Z, 2 years agoCompletely dead. This used to be my go-to plugin, but something's changed and now the icon never shows up now.
- Rated 1 out of 5by CyberAqyn, 3 years agoDead as disco. Used to be the best but now it downloads with a speed of playing actual video. Thus it is useless.
- Rated 4 out of 5by LadySidhe, 3 years agoThe only downside to this app is that the download takes a while, and that if you open multple tabs at a time, the button doesn't come up (reload the page, and it usually comes up). Otherwise, it's a very good download app. I like it, and will continue to use it. (I started using it as a replacement for Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express, which I loved, but which stopped working for no reason that I could see).

- Rated 5 out of 5by thisdotfox, 3 years agoBest YT Downloader for FireFox! Simple, fast and without additional redirects or popups.
I would really appreciate if the download button gets more subtle or a material design - like the SHARE Button :) - Rated 5 out of 5by Kinninigan, 3 years agoI luckily came by this when looking for a replacement for Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express because that one kept breaking every time youtube updated code (I believe it may have to do with their button placement location). I'm so glad I found this add-on! It works consistently without the "Save to" nag every time.
The only problem I encounter is is that downloads fail immediately on occasion (I think it's youtube doing that), but I've learned to keep an eye on the Downloads icon, & restarting the download solves the problem without any other hitch.
I like that I can hide the video-only and audio-only streams, as they're generally of no use to me. My only wish is for there to be an option to trim the resolution aspect from the video title, as I don't need to know that most of the time (aside from choosing the file at download initiation), and I feel it clutters up the title. Maybe that's just me ;P
I like to save vids to watch offline to save on session bloat and stave off restarts as long as possible, so this add-on is just what I needed. This is now my main youtube downloader.
BTW, the button does appear to load a little slow at times, but that's not an issue for me. I just believe that that's the time it takes to assess file types and sizes, and that the add-on is busy working. I think I've had it fail to load only twice out of thousands of page loads, but a refresh brought it back. I've also had two or three 0 byte file saves, but I think that may be a really full and/or corrupted cache on my part, or youtube monkey business. Still, for me, this is the most dependable youtube downloader out there that I've tried.
Thank you for a solid, consistent add-on! Very glad I found a reliable tool for the job. This is the best one I have have found yet.
Thanks & Be Well! - Rated 5 out of 5by Dayud, 4 years agoI've tried other Add-ons this is the only one that works without a hitch..

posted 4 years agoHi,
The add-on only lists the streams available from youtube. The first few are audio-video (360p or 720p). Most of the times, for high-resolution streams, youtube sends them separately.
There are some paid add-ons that have servers to merge these streams and provide a download option. This add-on doesn't have the feature.
Thanks..- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15994703, 4 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Gronk, 4 years agoWorks OK so far, mainly 360p quality BUT that's all YouTube provides. some mp4s in Hi Res. This is on windows 8.1 & latest Mozilla at this time.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Rufus63, 4 years agoIt works. It HAS A BUTTON!
You push the button and a menu comes up and it works.
It works quickly and it has a button and you push the button and it works.
Quickly. With a button! One that actually works!
Other youtube download addon makers should perhaps consider this one to have characteristics worth emulating.
Some of those characteristics being the fact that it has a button and it works. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13269683, 4 years agoSeems like it might have worked in the past, but right now (7. December 2020) I can only download the 360P Video-Audio stream. The other streams are Video or Audio only.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 16494500, 4 years agoIt's download in split video and audio way, but it works fine.
