- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13700312, 7 years agoI am so happy to see Morning Coffee is back! I love FF Quantum, but with Quantum Coffee its even better!
The best part is it doesn't mess with my pinned tabs like the old version did. Love it.
I know you mentioned there's a way to export and import in a cludgy way, is there any hope for an easy import/export button in a future version? - Rated 5 out of 5by Suchetha, 7 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13546417, 7 years agoI appreciate you listening to your users and implementing new requested features. Unfortunately the Ctrl+Shift+O hotkey you implemented to open daily sites does not work as Firefox uses that key combination to open their library feature.
If I could make a second request feature it would be a toggle to turn off the context menu entry. While a useful feature this addon is very much a set once & forget addon. Once users setup their daily websites to their preference there is little need for it and it clutters up the interface.
Regardless of if you decide to implement this suggestion I am loving this wonderful addon, thank you for your time. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13649109, 7 years agoLove the return of "Morning Coffee" for Quantum release of FF. Well done! Now all of us coffee (and covfefe and tea) drinkers can stay up to date!
Much appreciate the work done to revive it.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13646769, 7 years agoIt's not working at all. Clicking the coffee cup does nothing. Is it incompatible with other add-ons, like no script? (No script protects me so well, that I can't get many websites to work, not knowing how to decide what should be permanently OKed!) But getting back to morning coffee, I don't know what to do from here. It does identify as Quantum.

posted 7 years agoThis is a completely different add-on from the original Morning Coffee, so it won't know about the sites you set up with the original. You'll have to set them up again. The best way to do that is with the tab context menu, as illustrated in the screenshots. Right-click on the tab for a site you want to add, select the "Add Tab to..." menu item at the bottom of the context menu, and select the day or days you want. Once you've done that, the button should work as you expect.
If this works for you, please consider revising your rating. If it doesn't, please send me an email and I will do my best to make it work. Thanks for trying it out! - Rated 5 out of 5by tomf, 7 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13612748, 7 years agoI am so happy that Morning Coffee was upgraded for Quantum. Thank you very much!
One problem (or user error)...
My Coffee Cup icon disappeared from top of window. I liked previous version where you could right click on it, and a menu would appear that allowed you to configure (add tabs, etc.) Now I have to go to Firefox | Add-ons | Options (for Morning Coffee add-on) in order to configure.
Since my icon disappeared (and clicking on it did not result in anything, anyway), I have to go to the above steps anyway. But nice to make it more streamlined.
Unless it is user error!

Thanks for the quick response!
i was able to recover the icon with your instructions.
However, I am having issues with adding new tabs.
I added them as you suggested. But when I close Firefox and reopen, the newly add ed sites/tabs do not appear. If I look in the configuration list, they are there, they just do not appear when opening the browser.
BUT, when I click on the coffee cup icon, all the tabs are opened to the right of the original tabs, INCLUDING the new sites/tabs.
So how can I get it to display the new ones upon opening Firefox?
Thanks.Developer response
posted 7 years agoThanks for using Morning Coffee Quantum! Let me see if I can help with the issues you've mentioned.
You can probably get the icon back via Firefox's Customize feature. In the toolbar to the right of the location text box, look for an icon that looks like three horizontal lines. Click it, and you should get a menu that has a Customize option about halfway down. Click that, and you (hopefully) will see the Morning Coffee Quantum icon among all of the available icons. You can then drag and drop it back onto the toolbar.
Unfortunately, due to the way the new web extensions work, I couldn't set up a custom right-click on the button. But you can add sites to your daily lists another way - through the tab context menu. After you've opened a tab for a site you want to add, right-click its tab and select the "Add Tab to..." menu item in the menu that appears. Then you can pick your day(s) to which you want the site added.
Once you've added your sites, clicking the coffee cup icon should load them just like you remember. I hope this helps!

In response to your additional question: the add-on doesn't have a "open your daily sites upon launching Firefox" feature yet. I might try adding one in the future, if there is enough interest and there exists the capability to do so. Currently, you have to click the button (or use the key shortcut) to open your daily sites. On the options page, there is an option to close all of your currently-open tabs, replacing them with your daily sites, when you click the button. That might get you something pretty close to what you want. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 6591762, 7 years agoIch fand die Erweiterung super und total unkompliziert. Durch das Update von Firefox funktioniert sie leider nicht mehr und ich bin schon sehr unglücklich darüber.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13550809, 7 years agoAfter the disappearance of the original Morning Coffee was uber relieved to see that the Add-on was updated/re-created for Quantum. Once I followed the screenshots, followed the how-to's, it was easy to add my most sought after tabs/links that I want opened on a regular/pre-determined time. Only drawback (due to software coding on Mozilla's side of the house) is the lack of a drop-down arrow to tweak. Morning Coffee Quantum is an absolute must-have for aonyone that spends any amount of time surfing the internet. Makes going to your favourite sites quick, easy and painless. HIGHLY recommend this to anyone. - Murray from Canada.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13538879, 7 years agoThis is a must have for anyone who's regularly opening a set of webpages depending on which day it is (for example daily news site every day but those comic sites only on specific days etc.)
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12120558, 7 years agoWorks great! Would be nice to have a way to backup/restore the list in order to keep 2 or more computers in sync. Would also be cool if it worked on Firefox for Android, but that may be asking for too much.

posted 7 years agoI've added an FAQ to my add-on homepage that addresses both of these questions, but to give a quick reply to both:
* There's currently a way to "manually" import/export (I give step-by-step instructions in the FAQ)
* Due to differences in the desktop and Android versions of Firefox, there probably won't be a version for Android.
Hope this helps! Thanks for using Morning Coffee Quantum, and for the kind words! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13536517, 7 years agoBig jump into the future and seriously a better Morning Coffee as before! Well done!
- Rated 5 out of 5by jcland, 7 years agoBrandon has done a terrific job in getting Morning Coffee developed for Firefox Quantum. The add-on works just like the older legacy version. A definite 'must have' add-on as far as I am concerned.
